In multiplayer game, I'm allied with Japan as Germany. Both of us are human player. He's in war with China, and I'm not involved in ANY action at all.
Each month, the evil "War Dissent" triggers 3 times :s

Help :'(

:) three times a month seems a bit improbable to me. It is set to trigger with 5% chance every 7 days. Well there might be a multiplayer problem. The event will trigger for human players but they should be at war. Japan will get this hit as it is at war with china. If you are not allied with Japan yet and you are not at war, you should not get the event. It could be that the programme is checking the trigger of being at war for any of the human players, and then it is a problem as I do not see how to fix it right now.

Umm, he is at war. He HAS allied with Japan, and Japan was at war, therefore he is at war.

His complaint appears to be "If my ally is at war, and I'm not fielding any combat units in the conflict, I shouldn't suffer from wartime penalties".

Exactly, thanks =)

I think that this event sucks IMO :eek:o
It should rather be an event which triggers every 3 months to add +1 dissent when at war...

And yes, when at war, this event comes 2 times in a row every 3 weeks.

The war dissent event should really have something to do with manpower losses, as Nationalist Spain I've been at war with the Soviet Union, no actual fighting had taken place and that damn event kept triggering. It doesn't make sense (well it makes a little sense) to have a country thats at war but not fighting having dissent go up so much.

Maybe a strongly interventionist country could have a "The people need a War!" event, causing dissent for not going to war? Bit off topic but, its just an idea.
