I looked at the 'War of Independence' Scenario that is included with the US version of the game and noticed something odd about it. All of the United States provinces have pagan for their religion. The state religion for United States is Reformed and I would have expected some of the more developed provinces (e.g. New York or Boston) to be Reformed. Why was the scenario designed this way?

Imagine what will happen after the United States sends colonists to its less populated provinces. They will convert to Reformed. The end result will be that the United States will have Pagan cities and Reformed colonies. This is crazy.

Well, given the crazy things happening here in the States at times, one could argue that we have switched back to pagan religion. :-(

The way the game was designed each province can only have one preset religion all through the game. This means that either some USA provinces are pagan in the relativly short timespan of the Independence scenario or that indians become Reformed in the 16th century, some before even meeting with the white man in the GC 300 year scenario.
The former is the least bad IMO, if you have to choose one or the other.
