Presumably because were about to see a marked increase in Desertification.

Eek, tried to watch from the start. I have the strong desire to be a complete critic, but that's probably not what anybody would want to read. Sorta makes me want to try to do a let's play, but I don't have an accent.

Yes, I called it Desert Sands because of the desert spell. First thing that popped into my mind tbh so most likely not terribly appropriate. :)

You seem to be progressing nicely.
Can you verify that you are actually paying (and benefitting) from multiple instances of experienced mind?
Because you do not seem to be THAT much faster in spellcasting as 3 or 4 stacked spells would suggest.

You get no advantage from stacking it. Go to your diplomacy screen, it shows your 'Great Mage' enchantments. You'll see it only shows up once.

I don't have the save-games any more (this was recorded a couple of weeks ago) so I can't confirm the stacking. But I think Zechnophobe is correct that it doesn't stack.

wow never seen a collection of artifacts drop..that was interesting. I <heart> the ice world tileset. You should screencapture your armies going against the dragons there. It would make a beaut poster.

The Mad Peasants do indeed ressurect once. After ressurecting they loose the ability (hence you cant see it on them after)

There are actually several different ways to deal with destroyed lands. Most of them involve spell comboes, but Grolm does provide one that restores land directly from destroyed lands.

Well for example: Lower lands will turn (lowlying) destroyed lands into ocean. Raise land will then raise normal un-destroyed lands in the same area.

Edit: Note that ressources like donkeys or goldmines etc. are permanently lost (at least I know of no way to get those back)

Lost your first town I see. Too bad, but then again theres always a plus. When you rebuild it (if), try to see what else beside Koatl Village you can build there (Hint: Your Archers will like you).

There was a bit gnashing of teeth watching this one, but I suppose that is just a symptom of caring.
