ISSUE SOLVED!
How to fix: Don't rename mod folders. The .acp file apparently needs to match the mod's folder directory in order to read mod files. This also explains why other mods were not working correctly.-----------------------------
Hello there,
I've recently created a mod called the Vanguard Units Mod which I've managed to successfully add a couple of new units to the Vanguard faction and, in the latest update of this mod, I'm trying to add in new models and textures to make these new units look more unique.
The problem is that I cannot get the editor to recognize MY dependent files... anything from textures in a .cbl file or localization in an .xml file.
I used the excellent Commando Unit Mod as the guide for how to do everything and have linked to everything I need in "Content-> Resource Packs"... the editor just won't recognize anything. The files work fine when I'm editing them and the units look like they should with the new textures.
I've been trying to solve this for four days now with nothing to show for it. I've been trying to work out a solution with various people on Discord and I have contacted Paradox support and they suggested I post on here.

Additionally, I get this very same error when I load up other people's mods including MystHawk's Units and the Commando Unit Example Mod. With the Commando Unit example mod the editor gives the same error with the XML file for the unit name. Therefore, this issue is not localized to just my mod... but may be due to my install or setup or a problem with the editor.
Thanks for any help. Hopefully we can get this resolved and I can make MOAR units.
EDIT:
I tried loading both my mod and the Commando Unit Mod on another computer (my laptop) and the dependencies still failed to load for both mods. I don't believe this issue is related to just my computer. Does anyone else get these issues?
EDIT 2:
Tried freeing up more disk space, just in case I was lacking memory. I've got over 54GB free so that's probably not a problem.
I also ensured that all of these files are not read-only, they're not.
Still not working. :'(
EDIT 3:
I have attempted to make a whole new mod via the Package Manager to see if that was the problem. Unfortunately, the mod still didn't work.
