Ok.. maybe I'm blind.
But can someone please explain how to setup pipes to transport the water between the underground and the surface?

The Elevator has no connections or do i missed some tech that i need to research?
 
My understanding is that currently you cannot transport lifesupport (oxygen/water) between maps at all so you need to produce what you need locally. Although I haven't tried it myself yet, so I might be mistaken.

Ok.. just took a look in the lexical.
Can not be connected ...
But why can we build tunnels and connect water and power to them when we are not able to build pipes and power in the elevator?
We are digging holes in the ground.. please add that because it doesn't make sense when we found thousands of water below and can't use them on the surface.
Or maybe... add a building that makes water to a transportalble resource
