Waves on stream

I'm currently playing with the map editor to make a realistic landscape, and on certain of my stream, I see giant waves hapening with no reason... Like a tsunami, a part of the brook goes dry and a giant waves arrive.. Don't understand why....

Is it a particularly curvy section? There was another post around here about that. I'll try to find it.
