I dont have any plans to release them at all. I remember reading a comment earlier saying the same. If i may ask, why would i want to do that?? is there something Im missing??

I admit, I've never actually played EU, and therefore know very little about it. I just wondered if you'd release them to free up a bit of space infamy-wise for conquests in France. Though I trust you know the mechanics infinitely better than I do. Will you aim for more African colonies?

No. I usually only want to take a province from them at a time. Given, you have a Truce for 5 years at a time, the infamy doesn't cost us much.

At the moment, no. Castille seems to be having their way with everyone around me. I'll just have to sit back and wait for now.
 
I wasn't expecting you to annex all of Algeria ,but you have given yourself a nice entree to the rest of North Africa. France is a bit of a sorry mess now and no help against Castille. Getting them when you've guaranteed a nation they've invaded and a number of nations are involved against Castille.
 
I'd usually stay away from too much in North Africa, the provinces aren't worth much and drag down the tech rate. I personally prefer Mali, they're half pagan so easy cultural conversion and they have gold provinces not too far inland as well. That being said, nothing quite like painting your colour all over everything!
 
You continue to expand your holdings in France, and it won't be long until you can stand alone against them. Those English territories could be problematic, could Brittany be the reason that England and France set aside their differences?

Yup. The only thing France has let in them is to see who gets to annex Paris away from them. Castille seems to be a far off target for me though. Im gonna wait until they start colonizing then run in and take it from them. Thats about a good 50-60 years from now so I have time.

Really?? Im still a noob at this Tech thing. i usually just attack nations more advanced then me to win.... (haha, im such a bully!!). I'll try working my way to mali though. that would definitely give me a head start into Africa.

The English ones do revolt alot, but thats Fine, nothing we cant handle. On the other hand, the reason France stopped going to war was because of Us. England stopped because of Scotland.
 
Chapter VI: War Against Switzerland

The Second my little war with Normandy was over, I was called into war by Burgundy To go against England. We did not deploy our troops, we just let them have their way.



Scotland Ended their war first.



After that the war just became a lost cause, and it ended under white peace conditions. The second the war ended.....



Now dragged into another war we go, Burgundy declared war on Baden with a Subjugation Casus Belli.



During the War, we got a letter, From Who??



YES!!!

After that, Burgundy just seemed to walk through every other nation around them.













Well that was fun wasnt it.

Chapter VII: War Against Brabant

The Following year after the war with Switzerland, Great news struck our palace!!!



We were now Lord and Rulers of Both Normandy and Savoy!! We are assembling a force that will take the cosmopolitan area by Storm!! But we didnt have time to celebrate. Burgundy dragged us into yet another pointless war.....



Which of course didnt last too long, but it lasted long enough for both sides to take a blow. Burgundy took down both Brabant AND Aachen.





While The Hansa took out Wales.



Well, we couldnt save Wales before Burg's ended the war. This is what Europe looked like after the war. I feel..... that Brittany is going to expand in the near future....

Scotland is certainly doing quite well - is France to blame for any of that?

Good to see you're still continuing to get more power within the area. Do you ever think a direct war with France will be on the table? Guyenne/Aquitaine (delete as appropriate - I'm not sure what one would call the region in EU,) looks like it would be nice incorporated into Brittany.

Scotland is doing well. Unfortunately this wont last long as I fear that Scotland might be on the Brink of Collapsing. There army is too big and taking the money right from under them. Open war with France is still a no-no as Burg has them tightly wound up. They are both in their Sphere and Guaranteed. Ill wait for Burg to declare war, ill swoop in and take all provinces from southern France AKA The Guyenne/Toulouse regions.
 
Burgundy is getting big. Just who will be your ally against them? They've beaten everyone around them. You have Scotland, though you believe they're about to implode and have Normandy and Savoy on your side. Are you buttering up England, so you can claim their throne, too? Then Scotland?

Yes Burg is Blobbing and to make matters worse, they are in the running for HRE!! All allies have taken them down. my only option is to find other allies around me that might want to help. Maybe Milan (whose is Blobbing), Netherlands, Switzerland might help. Thats also the only other reason why im not integrating Savoy and Normandy. I dont know what to do with England. im Just attacking as I go.

Great sto ry with an underdog ! I like a lot your policy but I am a bit concerned aobut the Burgundians too :eek:

All im trying to do is expand without allowing the Burgs to gain too much power. its not working as well as i want it to..... With me taking land with no Cores, its a hard grind.
 
I can feel what you mean ..... All the core staff is technology killer and not only this
 
Chapter VIII: War Against France, The War That We Started

After ending up on the losing end of the war and against The Hansa, we the Bretons were at a loss on their next move. Expansion through the isles was a no because Scotland was an ally and England had a truce cause for another 2 years. Ireland was allied to Burgundy. The Hansa were untouchable due to their truce clause as well. Going south into Aragon seemed like a worse idea, seeing as Castille was making sure to stick their nose in with anyone who thought about expansion into The Iberian Peninsula. The only other nations around and worth fighting, were France and its vassals. So, we sent an Diplomat to all allies, telling them that as of March 1439, war was now upon us.



Burgundy didnt get the memo and didnt want the war to last long. 9 months later Burgundy calls for a peace deal before we can even gain control of one province....



The good news, was that Burgundy up and cleaned house. France didnt have a single unit left!!! To make matters even MORE perfect, Burgundy Broke their alliance with recently saved Armagnac. All units were busy at the moment, so we had to wait until enough men were freed up till we declared war.









With that, we were ready, we moved our troops. Unfortunately, There was a large scale revolt in the Paris region, making us lose control of the situation.





The Revolt was so bad the we had to retake Ile-de-France.



But it only delayed the inevitable.



France was beaten..... AND NOW SOUTHERN FRANCE BELONGED TO US!!!

Glory!!!!
