We AAR Not French....: A Breton AAR

Brittany is in the Celtic culture group, not french.

Haha. Hell No. Brittany will stay Brittany in this game. I have yet to even play as France yet in my 2 years of owning this game. I dont plan on starting now!!

They actually can. If you look at some of my pics, there is an Idea to form France that I just dont use.
 
Chapter XXIII: African Conquests

With our first foothold in The Americas a success, Empress Anne wanted to gain a stronger holding in Africa as fast as possible to gain the upper hand over all other colonial countries. Right now, my closest colonial rival was Aragon. They owneed Three provinces on the Other side of the neanderthal nation of Oyo.....

THAT MEANS YOU GNORF!!!​

They must be taken down. Preparations were made.





Wra was declared, and little did we know that a crusade was called on Oyo. We were the oinly ones to answer the call. The Pope was Ecstatic. Oyo was annexed a few months later.



What was unexpected was that Aragon had guaranteed Oyo and went to war with me calling in Scotland as well. The were both beaten fairly easy.





War was then called on Mali and Timbuktu at the same time.





Anne sent more Bretons to America in order to strengthen our tariffs. It was a success.



A while later Hainaut accepted our orders of annexation.





Then, a rush of colonist was sent to Africa.



And finally, to end on a good note, the most unexpected of all events occurred.



Weird, we know. But we did not complain.

Great to see another update - you're making solid colonial gains, it would seem. And good to see the Blairien Project is gathering some steam ;)

I'm looking forward to more.
 
Chapter XXIV: Taking Out the Straglers

The Personal Union of Milan was a surprise to us all. We were grateful that they chose us, for support. We agreed to look over their lands
until they decided on a new King. But, We would do anything to make that impossible. Milan had come this far to ask us, their only future option now, was integration!! The Empress knew it, the Milanese knew it.

Our Borders were coming along quite nicely. Empress Anne was pleased. There are still some she wished to annex to make the perfect Border. In Europe, She wanted to integrate the nations of Leige, Aachen, Lorraine, Baden and the Western Provinces of Switzerland. Other then that, The complete Integration of Castille. With those nations under her, The Breton Empire would be perfect. She would also have to finish her conquests in Africa and America. But we would start this unification process with Bar.



Soon after, The Empress Anne sent a letter to the council in Milan. She told them that Cyrenaica belonged to the Bretons. Since we had full claim on Africa. Alot of rabble disagreed with this, But That is ok. Who cares what they say anyway??

Speaking of Africa, Morocco agreed to become our Vassal.



We have been friends for a long time. Alliance and Royal Marriage. Their ruler even bared the name De Dreux. We protected them from outsiders due to this being a family member. No more. We have grown to powerful. If you want your lands to be protected by us, Then change you land to Breton soil. We gained cores on our integration of Champagne. This also gave us a core on one of our CoT's. Our yearly income increased greatly!!



Looking back at Africa, it became apparent the the only thing blocking our way to More unification, was Aragon. They were also responsible for the Haitus of the Blairien Plan. They colonized the two provinces directly to the north of Panama and that other one that I cant remember.... They set up a block to get to the Southwestern section, Claiming it belonged to them. No, Africa belongs to us. This land they call Mexico as well. We shall prove it to you!!











Byzantium wanted nothing to do with the war once 60 Carracks blockaded their entire coastline.







Morocco integrated. Now we needed Algiers to integrate. This shouldnt be a problem. After that, All of north Africa will belong to the Bretons except for the province of Melilla which is still owned by Aqualeia.

We shall deal with them soon. We should plan our next move, but that shall be put on Hold.

Our Empress has just passed away, Leaving the Empire to her son, Pierre III. The people of Breton feared he wasnt a very good ruler being that he wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed. But, Lady Anne left a council for her son to use. Hopefully everything will be ok.

This has been - and still is - a wonderful AAR. I've been enjoying this immensely.

Good to see the Blairien plan can continue unhindered. Those Aragónese need to learn that they can't claim Breton land! I'm looking forward to seeing if you can achieve all of your goals before this ends.
 
It all was quite fun to read, sad to see that I cam almost too late :( (Well, at least it's "almost")

The pattern was quite funny: Burgundy was your ally, enabling you to eat France, once that was done - they turned against you. Then Netherlands became your ally, helping you to weaken Burgundy, once that happened they turned against you. It's a shame that no third country helped you with Netherlands! (not that you needed it ;) )

You two are making me feel bad.This was probably the second funnest AAR Ive ever done. Definitely the Hardest, but it was the Funnest.

Those Aragónese have been taught a lesson they wont soon forget. But I do not yet own their Capital, So they shall learn True pain... VERY SOON!!

If it wasnt for France, I wouldnt have kept my Alliance with Burgundy.

Chapter XXV: Breton Ambition

After the war with Aragon, Our Foothold in Africa and Mexico strengthened significantly. But, There is always room for improvements. There wa no immediate threat in Africa, But in Mexico, Denmark was the nation we now shared a border with.

Removing them would get us one step closer to the promising resources of Central Mexico.

War was immediately declared.



Tuscany was the only nation that was dumb enough to enter the war with Denmark. This bodes well for the Bretons. Now we can push towards our Italian ambitions and not have to deal with the Emperor.





Switzerland has joined the war. Good, lets not allow them to go home without realizing the might of Brittany.

Denmark proves to be nothing short of a push over. This conquest remains to be a simple walk through.





How fares the war with Switzerland?



They have taken Lombardia?? thats cute. Lets see what else they've got.

Tuscany on the other hand, fell quicker then Denmark did.









HAHAHAHA!!! You feel that one Tuscany?? Good.

How Fares Switzerland now??







Over already? That was unsatisfactory.

Now to Finish off Denmark.







Ahh. One step closer to... Whats this?? Our next opponent is going to be Castille?? Good. This should be interesting!!

But Befroe We end this chapter, Theres one thing I forgot.... What was it now?? Oh Yea.




End Of Chapter XXV​
 
That's a nice stretch of land you've got in Central America. Blairien is coming along nicely ;)

War with Castille will provide intersting viewing. Will you take the opportunity to relieve them of any European holdings?
 
Basically, you're in the "I win" stage now, right? Is there anyone else left that could possibly challenge you for anything? Fighting Castille just sounds like a massive slaughterfest ... of helpless Castillians.

Once I get to this point I just go around breaking all the blobs, sink their ships, and have fun watching the newly-born, smaller nations peck at each other. Break up Castille, that disgusting Blobhemia, and get rid of the Holy Roman Empire for good.

Of Course. The Iberian Peninsula will belong to the Bretons. There is no question about it.

Hmmm..... That seems like a very fun task.... I might have to extend this AAR a bit!! Yea!! IM PUMPED NOW!!!
