for some it is causing heavy performance hits since 1.4/1.5
single digit fps in combat

the author on github has stated he is no longer modding for battletech.

is there anyone out there who might be able to take over on this mod?

it really adds alot of flavour to the game and there are a few mods out there that require it.

Well.
The drop only.happens during combat when weapons fire especially missles.

I went thru my mods that might effect combat and one by one disabled them.

There was no effect until WR was disabled.
Reenabled mods without WR and no slideshow, no single digit fps.

Kinda sucks as I really like what the mod does for the game.

My mech firing 50 LRMs - and no performance drop (only light one on explosions draw same in vanilla)

I'm wondering if there is something that may cause this problem for some users while it works fine for others, because I've been getting reports of the same thing. Unfortunately I can't confirm this myself - if anything, the game mostly seems to be running a little smoother for me post-1.5. (Aside from the horrible loading times and lag with regards to the MechLab without a working BattleTech Performance Fix.)

most common problem - it enabled logging. CAC impacts FPS with enabled logging too. And if logging in WR is disabled - it is a good idea to look through output_log.txt and search exceptions there. Cause exception processing takes much time.

it worked fine up until BT1.4....

i am also using the settings for WR that are recommended by XAI.

i will give it a go with default settings later today and see it there is a difference

ok so i enabled WR with its default settings and well...while not as smooth as it is without it is not a slideshow at all.
seems something in the settings XAI uses for it was causing the issue???

I'm getting a serious lag also, where is the logging at?, so that I can disable it

Is it the debug log?

thank you in advance for any and all help

Edit:

Disregard, I took a chance and turned off the debug and the debug server thingies' ,in CAC, by turning both to false. All is running like a [mod edit: language] again
