Sorry for making so many new threads, but I do think that those are topics that are worth discussing (and maybe the devs can answer us ;)
I think that weather is a very important aspect of combat. Specially for air combat, remember that all-weather aircraft were rare in WWII.
I would be interesting to have different weather effects like rain (limited air missions), snow (harder to move and limited air missions) or even night.

One screenshot has what can be assumed to be rain. Whether it affects gameplay or is just aesthetic is still to be determined; we'll see as we get closer to beta. Also, snow in summertime?

Now, I'm not entirely sure, but I've a feeling it doesn't snow in France during the summer. :p
Weather could be an interesting mechanic, for ex. air force, as you mentioned, but also tanks are more prone to throw a track in the mud and on soft ground, wheeled vehicles have a bad time as they're getting stuck in the same stuff, rural roads being turned to mudtraps as tanks turn them up, etc.

Though I've bad memories of the random blizzards from CoH2. Armies have entire branches dedicated to weather forecast, but all we get is a warning shortly before it hits. I'm kind of on the fence here, if done well it could be a fun addition.
