Scenario is 1936.
Version 1.1
Kyril or i will be host
we'll start tuesday 8 februari 19:00 cet.

Rules :

> UK/SU/US are only allowed to trade for supplies and money before they're at war. This will prevent the Allies from taking all rares/oil from the market;
> Human players may not be influenced (this to prevent getting US into Allies in 37);
> No exploitative wars (to prevent people from not annexing a country to keep them in war economy).
> SU is not allowed to DOW any country before Poland is invaded by Germany (having 100+ divisions SU can basically trample all it's neighbours before the Axis even have a chance to build up);
> China is not allowed to join an Alliance untill Japan is at war with Allies or US;
> Keep historical Alliances, so no Unholy Alliance or Commy / Axis US.

el freako : Japan
osweld : Rumania/Canada/China/
ZeT : France/Poland/Rumania
Chad44 : Russia
MaximusII : Germany
Kyril : USA
Tile : Italy

keep in mind that if certain players arent in vnet at 19:00, minor country players may have to move to majors to fill up.

plz only apply if you have a stable broadband connection, enoug time to play at least 2 days a week, and dont quit or whine if things dont go your way.
If your intrested plz post your preffered country and days you can play.

I would like to apply, however I am already active in the Dedicated European Game so I cannot play on thursday evenings.

If Japan is available I would very much like to play them.

ICQ: 213-847-998 (I'm usually on invisible so send a message even if I appear offline)

CET is GMT +1, right?

I might be able to play. If I do, I'd prefer a minor country (but not too minor) such as italy, or maybe china (I've never played with theme before, though) and I would be available most weekdays except perhaps monday.

Perfect gaming times for me, only criterias would we somekind of historical eventflow and a good host. Rather have no game than laggy one. conntact me via Icq:276915865 when starting up (not that mutch of a forum shark.)

Ill take any mainland european cuntry France and Poland included.

5 players already, good!

If we get a few more, i suggest we start next tuesday and wednesday at 19:00 cet if that is ok with you guys.
If someone changes his mind or cant make it plz post this in advance and dont let ppl wait in vnet.
any votes about the scenario ?

country list so far:

el freako : japan
osweld : some minor but not too ?
ZeT : france or poland ?
Chad44 : russia
me : ill take whatever needed to balance things

still needed,
usa
uk
germany
italy

Hi, can we get a bit specific in regards to which days there will be played, so I know I can commit? Monday/Tuesday and most Thursdays are good for me.

Country prefferences for me is SU (but I guess that one is taken), otherwise up for anything.

Conn is 4000/1000.

My ICQ is 265987302.

After we get enough players together, I suggest we discuss some house rules, and ideally exchange ICQ nrs. so the game will be smooth. Better discuss eventualities before game then during.

I can play GER.........If I'm gonna play the U.S I gonna need some one to handle the Pacific to.........I suck at 2 frontwarefare............

hi all,
Starting day will be tuesday 8 februari 19:00 cet, we will decide the second playing day after that, probably some ppl dont show up in time or not at all and they will be excluded from game wich make it easier to pick the second day.

about the rules, id like to keep those to a minimum, but if there is need for rules they will be added. (any input is appreciated)
i'll edit the first post for any major changes so keep an eye out for that.

if you would like to add rules or change nation post it here or icq me before tuesday and ill think about changing or not.

From someone new to HOI2 multiplayer, don't the savegame reload bugs make any long-term HOI MP game an exercise in futility?

Only if players exploit them surely?

And we will be able to see if someone is building up forts/IC faster than is possible won't we?

As far as rules go...

1. Tried in DEG,
A rule preventing the UK, France, US, USSR from trading for resources like rares and oil if they already have a surplus in them - this is to prevent economic warfare against the axis pre-war (after war starts this rule should be allowed to lapse)

2. Very tentatively,
If we are going for a reasonably historic game then the US/SU should be prevented from declaring war too early - it is also possible (but i'm not sure) that the negative effects of not purging Russia's military are too lenient so maybe Russia should be forced to choose the historic option or the event could be edited to make the effects worse.

As far as rules go, I would suggest the following:
> UK/SU/US are only allowed to trade for supplies and money before they're at war. This will prevent the Allies from taking all rares/oil from the market;
> Province builds (like factories can only be produced 1 at a time (to prevent the buidling of 6 factories at a time);
> Human players may not be influenced (this to prevent getting US into Allies in 37);
> No exploitative wars (to prevent people from not annexing a country to keep them in war economy).

I consider the above rules (or better: the effect of these rules) to be necessary in order to prevent exploiting the game mechanics.

Some optional rules which I think will make a better balanced game:
> SU is not allowed to DOW any country before Poland is invaded by Germany (having 100+ divisions SU can basically trample all it's neighbours before the Axis even have a chance to build up);
> China is not allowed to join an Alliance untill Japan is at war with Allies or US;
> Keep historical Alliances, so no Unholy Alliance or Commy / Axis US.
> untill at war or the lend-lease event, US may only offer 75% trade deals to other players. To prevent the US from acting as extra IC before they are in any way involved with the war.

With regards to hosting: I got a pretty good connection, yet only 256MB ram, which I believe is also important for game performance.

Ok good rules ive applied them, exept of the 75% trade deals and the maximum province build.
To be honest i have no idea what those 2 rules add to balance or playability, but if you can explain them they can be added later.

The 75% trade deal means that the US is not allowed to supply resources/money/supplies for free (i.e. a deal where the US supplies something and the allies/comintern provide little or nothing in return)

The province builds rule is to deal with a MP bug in which serial builds of IC/Forts will all be completed when the 1st one of the run is done (so, for example you order 20 IC in Berlin and after a year when the first should be done 20 IC is added to Berlin not 1)
