Thanks for the nominee! I appreciate it!

I know it is customary for me to further the nominee
I am busy with RL at the moment, so if there is an option for me to forfeit it... I trust @Chac1 can make a much better and more informed suggestion.

Also thanks to @Lord Durham, @jak7139 and @Bullfilter for the kind words as well.
It is a very art-heavy ARR, but I had recently also dumped the 'raw txt' under the pretty pictures... lol

Congratulations again, @Ran Miller . Thanks too for stopping into the bAAR where folks are still talking about you and your very good AAR. Hoping one of these days you do have time to range around and read a few other AARs. Until then....

Thanks for this opportunity. I do find it interesting to discover just who has never won this award, and I trust the archives because they are meticulously maintained by our moderator.

So I would like the Showcase to shine its light now on @Lord Durham . I can't believe he is a first-time winner, but there you have it.

This week he just wrapped up his revival of The Sons of Ragnar Lodbrok: In the Shadow of the Great Old Ones, with maybe its last installment. Certainly overdue to feature this one and our great moderator and founder. Congrats to LD!

@Lord Durham has never won? Certainly overdue. Congratulations LD!

I really should finish Sons of Ragnar Lodbrok. I meant to, but then life got in the way. Congratulations too on completing it!

Well, this is an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Thanks for the nomination, @Chac1. And thanks, @jak7139. If @TheExecuter could burn through it in one day... ;)

I'll have more to say later.

LD likely never won because we didn't need a showcase to feature new work back when he was first writing here. We all ate up everything that was offered at the time. ;)

Indeed Congrats for this, however. And well done on the finish and the epilogue.

Congratulations @crisrko and @Ran Miller! I know I've missed others and I'll try to catch up.

But congratulations @Lord Durham! I looked, and it doesn't appear this AAR was recognized here when it was first being written, so I'm especially glad to see it here now.

It's great work -- atmospheric, well scripted, and Hitchcockian, in that you see the danger coming, you're hoping Madelyn's NOT going to do/say that, but you know she's going to, and she DOES! :D

Thanks, Al. You're too kind. I'm just glad I decided to finish Sons of Ragnar... I mean, it only took a shade over a decade :).

Warmest congratulations @Lord Durham

Thank you, @Bullfilter.

Madelyn Mary York: The Dana Scully of her era. She sure likes to invite adventure. Hitchcockian? 1930s Hitchcockian? I like that. Thanks for the kind words, @Rensslaer.

Wait, what? LD has never won this before? Very well done and in time then, @Lord Durham ! Congrats!

Thanks, @Nikolai. The vast majority of my AARs predate this particular thread. You'd have to peruse EU2 for the earlier OscAARs and my work.

Once again, thank you @Chac1 for the nomination. And glad to see you finally read it, @jak7139.

I'll be back later with my successor.

Cheers,
LD
