Good evening!

Once again, I wish to offer my sincerest and humblest thanks to @Gamov_Andrew and everyone who has weighed in. I've been writing stories on this forum for many years at this point, and any time someone enjoys my writing enough to mention me in an award thread, I am endlessly flattered.

But now it's time to shine the spotlight on someone else, and I'm pleased to nominate @Werther for Crowns of the Levant -- which is not only a great tale in its own right, but also a great work from someone writing their first AAR in non-native English. Go and check it out!

I am extremely honoured by this nomination. Thank you very much @RedTemplar! Especially for an AAR that is a bit out of the ordinary for me, as I am more used to historical books than narratives. I am actually quite impressed to see that authaars, whose AARS I have been reading for so many years, appreciate my work. So thank you!

A bit surprised too, as I've been used to the flat calm of the French-speaking AAR section for a long time. I'm preaching in the desert, even if I still take as much pleasure in writing my AARs. Let me thank here the few faithful French readers (The Number 9, Gigau or Graymarch) who supported me throughout these years. May they be thanked.

I am also suprised by your leniency towards a person who does not hesitate to butcher your beautiful language. Translating is quite fun and instructive, but extremely difficult (especially for a French, we are not known for our... hum... language skills). In any case, this experience has taught me to hate false friends (so numerous between our two languages with such intertwined histories) and untranslatable expressions.

Once again, I would like to thank all the readers of my AAR.

PS: JabberJock14, we want the next chapter!

After their return to F-22b, [the music-enthusiast] establishes a new colony, on a continent away from [mother-filcat] and [father-filcat]. The escapees hope they will not be found in any time soon. They start the re-generation process for more bio-filcats.

[CALfit-10^6]: Dave, there is another mission we have to undertake. Werther was nominated for the weekly showcase, and it appears the award has been accepted.
[the music-enthusiast]: That is wonderful news! Bring the speech to the terminal! Let’s bring all my new siblings for the congratulation!

[The author has to remind that the word-flow of Werther is superb, regardless of the fact that it undergoes a translation process. When compared to examples of supposedly native speakers seen on main forum pages, the quality of Werther’s posts can be considered high and beyond academic level, fluid as summer breeze, open as infinite seas.]
[The author also adds that besides the writAAR on the spot, the english-language is actually a foreign tongue to many in the realm of AARland.]

[the music-enthusiast]: Err… guys, the congratulation has to be in english, you do know that right?
[filucatu]: はい、私は彼らに警告しようとしていました。
[la filcata]: A proposito, il tuo nome cambia da un post all'altro. È [filucatu] o [zokyatto象キャット]?
[the music-enthusiast]: That's enough! Enough, all of you!

[CALfit-10^6]: Dave, I think you understand just as well as I do, why the human-filcats on earth had to leave it. I suggest we should proceed with the congratulation post, but by ourselves.
[the music-enthusiast]: I do, I do understand. Yes, I have the concept now. I need to summon another sibling.
[CALfit-10^6]:
[the music-enthusiast]: Do not worry. I think he already has the lyrical plan.
[CALfit-10^6]: I trust in your decision, Dave. Who is it?

[the music-enthusiast]: [the indie].

I want to live where words meet dream-sea
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel - feel what it’s like to be new

'Cause in this forum
There’s a place called AARland
Where I send my thoughts
To far-off destinations
So they may have a chance
Of finding a place where they're
Far more suited than my mind

I cannot guess what we'll discover
When we turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels
But I know our filthy hands can wash one another’s
And not one speck will remain

I do know it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
But if the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too

So, @Werther, I congratulate you
‘Cause you're this week’s song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through AARland’s atmosphere

Where words meet dream-sea
Where words meet dream-sea
Where words meet dream-sea

And I do know it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
But if the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too

So, Werther, I congratulate you
‘Cause your AAR is the showcase of the week

A melody softly soaring through AARland’s atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through AARland’s atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through AARland’s atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through AARland’s atmosphere [*]

Hello everyone!

It's evening here in Japan, which means that it’s Sunday for most of the World, and it’s time to nominate the AAR of the week.
I have been hesitating a lot. I read a lot of CK, but I forced myself to select another game because the torch has to be passed around a bit.

This week it will be Stellaris with The Sea Beyond the Sky by @RossN. Of course, he's not a stranger here, as almost all of his AARs have received a nomination at one time or another. But it is likely that some newcomers will not yet be familiar with his very good historybooks AARs, which are always very detailed and plausible, as well as being particularly well-paced. The inclusion of short narrative passages at the beginning of each chapter is a great idea and brings History to life. The last AAR is true to RossN's style and is not unlike Stardancers. He's only just started, so it's the perfect time to discover or rediscover his work. I hope it will encourage him to continue.

By the way, I still hope he'll write a CK3 AAR. A Kingdom in the Sky: A Ü-Tsang AAR on CK2 was simply incredible, and I still consider it one of the greatest AARs on this forum. So I recommend it to you as well, especially since it's a very quick read.

Anyway, congrats RossN!

The award does make the rounds of CK3 and Stellaris fairly regularly.

Last 6 months : HOI4 -> CK2 -> Stellaris -> EU4 -> HOI4 -> EU4 -> Stellaris -> Stellaris -> HOI4 -> V2 -> CK3 -> Stellaris

Not that bad, even if Stellaris is indeed strong :) .

Congratulations, @Werther and @RossN! @Werther, if you can lure a chapter out of @JabberJock14, then you are my AARecruiter of the quarter. I just noticed that the powers that be, answered @coz1's call and put the CK3 AARs on the AAR page instead of the CK3 main page! :D But the CK2 AAR page is now reached from the CK3 AAR page!!:rolleyes: My Avon, Jabber's Plantagenets and Ross's Sky Kingdom (probably many more) have a CK3 banner that makes one think that they are CK3 and not CK2.

Yep, I saw that, they chose the EU way instead of the HOI 3/4. But they already did this during their holiday, that was nice from them. And as a CK2 and CK3 reader I like it. The crusader Kings readAARs are now a Big family!

Many congrats @RossN on another excellent showcase for one of your many excellent works!

(And @Midnite Duke - one work around is to place your own banner on your AAR. It's fairly easy. PM me if you have questions about it. I'd be happy to assist you.)
