Congratulations, @Revan86 !

(You know, I was going to nominate Revan today too, since my time is coming up in the writer thread; and you know what? I still might.)

I believe this is the rare Double Tap, writer of the week and weekly showcase at the same time. So very many congratulations indeed to @Revan86

Self-serving as this may sound...

I am going to nominate @Arithmetician's AAR, Knights of the Ancient Republic, which is based on a mod of Stellaris that incorporates the KotOR lore.

I have a fondness for this mod for reasons which I can't quite put my finger on... and the AAR also happens to be excellently-written. Step on up and take a bow, @Arithmetician! Your AAR is this week's Weekly Showcase!

Oh, thanks!

Yeah, I had unfortunately been on a bit of a break for health reasons! So it is a bit of a surprise, to be sure, to see my AAR nominated here... but a welcome one!

And I totally edited my wording there for another Star Wars reference, after I realized how similar it was getting

So I was nominated on Thursday...though normally it would be awarded on a Sunday to the next person. Do you need me to pick one today, so that we can keep things moving? If so, I can look over some of the recent AARs later today and see if there’s one that stands out to me.

And once again, thanks again for the nomination and for everyone’s support following my return, and the long break that my health issues brought about - they continue to improve each day!

Since it was Thursday, why don't you enjoy your slightly longer week in the spotlight and select someone next weekend. It's only fair.

So, looking through recent AAR posts (since it has been a while since I was on the forums myself), I saw another author who has made their own return recently - RedTemplar, with their “Ex Roma ad Stellas: I:R to Stellaris Megacampaign, Part One”. While it may eventually get to Stellaris, their campaign is currently firmly in the ‘Imperator: Rome” phase. I have always had an interest in Rome myself (I studied Latin in high school), and their AAR is quite well-written as well, and includes plenty of relevant gameplay graphics, which I always like in a AAR. And if I’m not mistaken, they haven’t been recognized here since 2022 (even though they are clearly quite a capable writer, having been recognized multiple times in the past since 2011, far longer than I have been active here). So it only feels fitting to congratulate them on their work and to welcome them back!

Congratulations to @RedTemplar ! This is one of the AARs I missed this summer when it came out, and I am now back-reading Ex Roma ad Stellas trying to catch up. Certainly a worthy winner.
