Hello y'all.
As the title says, I have been having these crashes since october and I don't find good info on the Internet about how to solve it. The crashing always occurs shortly after leaving the main menu of the game, no matter if it's for continue an old game or start a new one and the exception.txt file generated says a signal 11 has been caught. For what I have been searching this seems to be a segmentation fault. Also, in the debug.log file appear these two messages at the exact time the crashing occurred:
CMapObjectManager::GetVisibleObjects: invalid camera index 0 requested.
and
Could not parse game version, or game version not present! Defaulting to 1.0.0

I used the Steam tool for checking the integrity of my game files and everything was OK. My OS is an Ubuntu 22.04 and my GPU an Intel Iris Xe Graphics. I have no mods installed and only five DLCs active (trains pack, Victoria II remastered music, melodies DLC, Brazil DLC and India DLC. These last three were purchased after the crashing was happening to me). Weird thing before october I had no issues with this game on my system, so it might be an update not compatible with my computer maybe?

Your video system, while not great, is better than the game's minimum, so that's not the issue.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/crashes/ folder, attach here the latest (only!) exceptions.txt

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

The error.log was empty, so I send you an error.5.log file which has content in it.

Well it seems I was wrong - that error log makes it quite clear this is a video issue, specifically in Vulkan. I don't know much about the Intel Xe drivers for Linux but check you have the latest, AND the latest Mesa version. And of course the latest Ubuntu updates.

I hope that does it for you because I don't have a lot else to suggest!
