Okay, so this is a bit weird. I started a new game as the Capets in DVIP in the GC (inspired by Masked Pickle's French AAR, which I just found via RGB), and through some dynastic weirdness one of my vassal's vassals gained the title of "King of Navarra". Later, there was a crusade against the Muslims of Spain, and in the process I picked up most of the lands of Navarra (in DVIP Navarra has around 5 provinces linked to it). So I usurped his title and declared war on him to get it. It went off successfully, and now I was three-times king: Great! However, for some reason it seems that I was still at war with the guy, or something (it was a bit weird, since he was still a vassal to Aquitaine), and he started to besiege my provinces. I decided to go clear him out and sent an army south to Labourd to take care of this little irritant. That obviously is pretty easy, and I sign a peace deal forcing him to acknowledge me as King of Navarra and give me a bit of cash. When this is approved, he suddenly becomes King of Navarra  Eh, what?

Does anyone know what the heck was going on there? First I'm at war with a vassal's vassal, while he's still (indirectly) my vassal, then I force him to give up his claims and instead he gets his title back.

Yeah I think there is a bug still, where if you force him to acknowledge your claim to the king title, you will instead give it to him. So just let him keep the claim, as you don't have to force him to give it up to keep the title.
