The fliegerfaust German anti air missile. What makes us missile unique is that it's the world's very first manpad. This unit will provide Germany with the very effective short range anti air soldier that can provide mobile and effective protection from air vehicles.

This unique little weapon fires 20 millimetre shells to great effect against aircraft should a single Shell hit the target it will almost guarantee a kill on the plane. not only is it effective against aircraft it's also a very effective close range support weapons that would also proved to be effective against soft targets.

This weapon will fight itself to be very useful in the following divisions.

Panzer lehr
Luftland
3rd fallschirmjager

No. I don't like to use Wikipedia as a reference but if you have read it carefully:
Combat use:
The Fliegerfaust was not a successful weapon
because of its small effective range caused by too large dispersion of projectiles and the designed range of 500 meters was never attained. Although large orders for the weapon were placed in 1945, and with 10,000 launchers and 4 million rockets ordered, only 80 of these weapons were ever used in combat trials, in this case by a unit based at Saarbrücken.
To resume : 1 - Useless ; 2 - OOTF.
Axis has enough AA. 88 + Mobëlwagen are your friends.

And so what ? Most of the German division don't deserve to have the air superiority but the tank one what they actually have. The other ones have decent vet-figthers. Since the last patch, the 20mm are pretty decent against planes. Imho, the german non-vet AA unit is a non-problem, especially the 88.

Everything is in the "should" ... for it didn't hit.
Not only was it inaccurate, it had a very short range, was built in very few numbers ... and not before 1945!

Apparently, it was mostly used as a direct fire ground support weapon in Berlin:

Hence it doesn't really fit in SD:44.

There is evidence that fliegerfausts inhabited the region that now constitute Germany and western Poland for tens of thousands of years before the earliest recorded human settlement in the area.

Barbarosa 41 would be an excellent introduction to first rate soviet kit and superior tactics.
Steel division desperately needs the Eastern front
