Let me introduce myself, I’m Kate from NeocoreGames. If you have questions about King Arthur or the NeocoreGames team, please feel free to ask. Anyway, I have put together a short introduction about the game and our company for those who are yet unfamiliar with us.
King Arthur is a fantasy wargame and a creative mixture of the elements from the best strategy games and RPGs, with beautiful graphics and a gripping story, based on the rich mythology of the legendary King Arthur, with a truly unique, but still faithful approach to its chosen background. The game was released digitally in Nov 2009, and a few months later the localized boxed versions hit the stores as well. At that time the game was self-published by us.
King Arthur – The Role-playing Wargame has so far two smaller DLCs (King Arthur: Knights and Vassals, King Arthur: Legendary Artifacts) and an expansion (King Arthur – The Saxons), and a new expansion is already in the pipeline; King Arthur – The Druids was announced recently by Paradox Interactive. In the Knights and Vassals DLC four brand new units become available and two powerful Knights join your cause.
In the Legendary Artifacts DLC three sets of unique and ancient artifacts become available as rewards of nine new battle missions, one set for each specific class: Sages, Champions and Warlords.
King Arthur – The Saxons is a sandbox expansion where you lead the devoted warriors of Christianity, the Saxons against the tides of pagans and the gathering darkness. This expansion introduces a com¬plex system of diplomacy where you can negotiate with the other significant powers of the Arthurian world. Form alliances with kings, hire merce¬naries, send out valuable gifts to ladies, poison the supplies, brake out rebellions in hostile provinces or lure knights to your service. Make treaties with the lords of the Sidhe, send assassins or pay for protection against hired killers.
King Arthur – The Druids is the twin of King Arthur - The Saxons, offering a wide array of new content (like beasts and other monsters) as well as a brand new campaign. The economic system of the base game redesigned for a totally new campaign structure, where you will be able to play in sandbox mode and conquer Britannia for the Old Faith. The expansion has a complex diplomatic system, campaign winning conditions that can be set by the player and an absolutely free, non-story-based gameplay.
Scheduled for release in Q4, 2010, the expansion King Arthur – The Druids will be a digital download only release and it will be available on all leading digital distribution platforms.
