I am going to start an AAR loosley based on Harry Turtledove's books and the scenerio i downloaded. In this scenerio (which i edited) CSA has the original Confederate States, Tulsa, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. I will be playing as the USA allied with Germany and CSA in the allies. Hope you enjoy it.

i look forward to it...

i haven't read the Turtledove series you're talking about ("Worldwar" or something like that?) but i do like his alternate history.

have you read his "Darkness" series, which transposes the events of WWII into a fantasy world? that's been a fun read so far.

Worldwar is when aliens invade during WWII, and my AAR is based on the Great War books. I am reading How Few Remain (the prequel) now. I'll check into "darkness".Up date in a sec if my modem doesn't go crazy again.

January 1, 1936 US Conference

FDR sat at his table in the white house and looked at the map of the CSA. It pained him to see that knowing that the CSA had beaten the USA in several wars insuring their independence. But that was the reason he called this conference, to help deal with the CSA.

FDR: Alright getlemen we are here to discuss the ever growing threat to the suth the CSA. I would like Mr. Malin Craig to tell us the condition of our army.

Craig:Thank you Mr. President as you know the CSA has time and time again foiled our plans to return them as a part of the United States. And you gentlemen know just as i do that the war is again coming soon. WE cannot hope to fight the Confederacy again with the current size of our army...um...45,000 if i remember correctly. I suggest we begin a peace-time draft. Also to deal with our Canadian friends to the north i sugest we call upon many of the local militas over the US and ship them to the US-Canadian border. When we defeat the Confederacy we shall shift those forces north to destroy the Canadains. Thank you. <sits back down>

FDR:Now the new minister of the navy William Leahy.

Leahy:<shuffles through papers> Now our navy stands at 68 ship flotillas. They are broken up into six groups;
1.US Atlantic Fleet under Admiral Kimmel he has four battleships, three three cruiser flotillas, seven destroyer flotillas and the carrier Lexington.
2.1st US task force under Grand Admiral Nimitz he has three battleships, eight Cruiser flotillas, and four destroyer flotillas.
3.The 1st Fleet under Grand Admiral Stark he has three Battleships, seven cruiser flotillas, three destroyer flotillas, the carrier Saratoga, and two sub flotillas.
4.The US Pacific Fleet under Admiral Halsey he has four battleships, five cruiser flotillas, two destroyer flotillas, the carrier Yorktown, and three sub flotillas.
5.The Panama Fleet under Admiral Hart he has one destryoer flotilla and one sub flotilla.
6.Last is the Far East Fleet under Grand Admiral King he has thee destroyer flotillas and three sub flotillas.
In conclusion we need more transports and destroyers.

FDR:THank you Leahy that sure was...thorough. Next is Oscar Westover

Westover:Our airforce is osmall and obsolete we cannot compare to the fighters of today. T keep this short i need more funding.

FDR:Thats everyone so see you next time and lets try to keep it short.

Leahy:Yes Mr. President

John Thompson walked down the street when he saw a newspaper with the title Civil War! He quickly rushed over dropped the change for the man and took a newspaper. He let out a sigh of relief it wasn't in the US againg this time it was over in Spain. The Facist had begun a war for control of Spain. He didn't really like the facist but then they were the only country who had befreinded them for a long time so i guess they aren't so bad.

Franco visits US to talk with President Roosevelt thanking him for weopons and supplies during the war in Spain. The Spainish probably didn't need American help. They had quickly encircled Madrid and captured the rest of Spain and coming in for the kill last. Some 60,000 of Franco's men died in the batlle for Madrid alone when it estimated that 60,000 Republicans died and 15,000 surrendered.

FDR sat in his office and took a puff of his cigar. That election was too easy.He thought public support had gone way up when he outlawed Communism and for now he could forget the CSA ever existed and go on smoking his cigar.

I'll try to get the war in the next post.

Why is Canada independent?

Faeelin:Its more fun that way
2Coats:probably send something toma MOD and no CSA site i may live in Virginia but i was born in NY and moved here. Just call me a carpetbagger:D

i should have an update up today if not wednesday

The US military parade in New York displaying the new weapons of the US military; the M2A4 and the P-47.

FDR:So von Ribbentrop what do you think?
Rib:Very nice but do you have the numbers to fight the CSA? Their tanks and motorized divisions outnumber you even if you are more technologically advanced.
FDR:We will be fine as long as your Fuhrer can keep the French and British away. But besides that what of the East with the recent rise of Sinkiang and Japan I'm not sure what to make of that situation.
Rib:Well in time i'm sure we will find out.

John Thompson now with Patton's 1st Tank Corps got in his new M2A4. Not the newest of models now but too late to begin construction on new tanks especially because of the recent declaration of war against the axis. From the reports and newspapers Hitler seems confident but i don't know why seeing as he will go up against the Maginot Line. But nothing has stopped Hitler lately; FDR warned him against taking Memel and the Sudetenland but he was right nothing happend. Codell Hull is on his way first to Tokyo then Urumqui then Mexico City to talk with the leaders of Japan, Mexico and Sinkiang in trying to get them to join the axis. But for now we wait until we are adequetly prepared for our tanks to smash into Tennesee.
