Waiting for K-59 to present his arguments.

So you're in. You aren't even using ghost colors. HappykittiesDM, please add marty to the playerlist.

Why do you think it's a stupid idea. Elucidate. And remember pointing out flaws in this system is not enough, you have to show that they are worse than the flaws in the current one.

I'm not saying it's optimal but I think it's worth experimenting.
Baddies being hunted wasn't a problem. You're trying to create a solution to a non-existent problem which is generally known to be a stupid thing to do.

The issue was baddies sometimes getting hunted and other times not. That inconsistency can be fixed this way. I'm not too much a fan of making cultists more powerful than wolves but you can't say there wasn't a problem to begin with.

Which brings us back to why not have the GM play the whole game for the players. Sometimes the seer scans a lot of baddies and other times not. Sometimes the sorc makes contact with both packs and other times not. Sometimes the village is good at analysis and other times not. Those are all inconsistencies.

What I would say is that some variances are fun, the above examples add something to the game when they happen. But I don't think packs hunting the sorc, or loads of cultists, really adds anything. It just seems to frustrate.

Agree on the former, disagree on the latter wrt to cultists. I don't think it makes enough of difference how ever cultist die for anybody to care other than the poor soul who drew the role to begin with. As far as sorcs go, yeah it sucks for the baddies when the sorc is hunted but it balances out how powerful an assets a sorc can be.

Suppose I'll be in, as Jack Ryan.
Fun fact. A friend of mine named his two kids "Jack" and "Ryan."

I don't believe he told his wife where he got it from until after the fact.
