In as the Thin White Duke

By the way RPing as a D&D nerd
index.php

In my first game of D&D, I was one-shot by a monkey.

I object to all your changes and find your theme to be too Resistance-like. Out.

how can you be out

if you never were in?

Alright. Roles are pretty much finalized. I might cut the doctor and padreous powers, but that's about it. I'll start sending out invitations tomorrow, although I'm pleased that we already have 25 players. Also, I'm officially closing signups on Wednesday at 22:00 GMT. That will give invited players two days to see and respond to invitations.

I dislike these really long sign-up periods. Last game ended last Wednesday. Now, with signups closing Wednesday at 22 GMT, I assume N0 will be thursday, so the game will only properly start on friday, more than a week after the last game ended. I don't get what the obsession with such long sign-up periods is recently, surely it is better to start a bit earlier than wait for 1-2 extra people?

Lol. My first character bought a whole barrel of ale from the tavern and got alcohol poisoning and only barely survived :/

Which one? 3.5(the version I play)uses his and her for different things, changing it up. Generally they will assign it for classes or races arbitrarily.

Ex.
The Paladin uses her...
The Cleric uses his...

I only ever play 2nd edition these days, which uses he throughout. They might've had a lady wizard as an example character, but that's about it.

Get over it.

Also, all this complaining to the GM over fairly trivial matters in a game that seems to be experimenting for future games is bugging me. Happycats has been gracious enough to host and we've essentially spent the 1st 8 pages shitting all over his game. I think it'll be fun, as Happycats is a good GM. But it't ridiculous we have stooped to complaining about when the sign up deadline is.

Who's complaining? Most people are giving suggestions, as the GM asked for them. I like different rule sets, only through experimentation will we find interesting setups.

But, the long sign up periods recently are completely unnecessary in my opinion, and detract from the overall quality of werewolf on these forums.

Keep in mind that I didn't get the thread up until Saturday and was still putting things together on Sunday. I didn't want to send out invites and advertise on OT until I had some semblance of the final set of roles. And of course the hope is to get more than 1-2 extra people. My minimum goal is to get it up to 30 people playing, and I of course hope to get a good few more.
