Okay...

1. Why didn't Sleepy try to contact us after during one of the outings? Maybe he wasn't around?. Audren (like Arky) had a priestly scan, and we could have verified your claim! I tried to contact K-59, but the outing came too late for him to respond :(

2. We hunted Sleepy because we thought Aedan might have found the seer. We never would have hunted Sleepy if we thought there was a chance he was a cultist! I guess you guys hunted Aedan because you were scared he had a priestly scan against Sleepy.

3. If Capage had been willing to take a leap of faith and trust me... :(

4. It was indeed Jeray's intended strategy to keep the village from networking by hunting spokespeople. This was not, however, Cody's strategy, much to our dismay. Ironic that a guy famous for going Rambo as a seer died because we failed to hunt a Rambo seer.

Sleepy tried to contact Jeray but Jeray wasn't online that moment either.

I'm going to be blunt, the other pack shat the bed.

I was turned night two.

From the Pack DM

Alright, lemme think.

game started Sunday, possible for a scan on sunday

then monday,
then tuesday
then wenesday

yeah, no way wombat could be seer, he's a mouth piece.

Anyway, since everyone is probably wondering...

The reason why I went "Rambo" is because all the main JL members were dead. I knew the identity of 2 wolves (jeray and Audren), but my obvious allies (priest/seer/doctor) were dead and the village was already down 5 members, and I didn't like the lynch choices. I feared the game was getting out of hand, so I took a gamble. I do NOT recommend doing anything like this willy-nilly.

I fully expected to die in two turns max (figured the padre threat would keep me alive a turn, barring a brutal hit. Fortunately, jeray wasn't on at the time, which prevented interpack communication.) Just wanted to give the village a chance, and I knew that subtlety wouldn't cut it.

Then... I didn't die. Don't really know why, but I guess I played my part well enough and kept the wolves on a wild goose chase. Got lucky with my read of spock, and then played the part of JL spokesman well. Oddly, I actually only scanned 2 wolves myself (audren/jeray). k-59 was spock's doing, Arky was a good read, and Cody was JCans. (We triggered the witness power a turn early because I got a bit spooked and wanted to ensure at least one wolf got caught a day for demoralization purposes. Momentum is a surprisingly important thing in WW.)

Nice finish, village, after my (GM-induced, cough cough) screwup at the end.

A curious thing, in your first list:

Scan Sleepyhead
Backup jeray2000
Backup Cliges
Backup Alynkio
Backup Aedan777

There was only one goodie (Cliges) but also only one wolf (jeray) :D

Thanks for hosting, De Chat. I enjoyed the game and the flavour. Will be around to play another one. Hopefully as villager.

Yeah, I feel like you could be a pretty solid villager. Your wolf play was good but your late-game reads were a bit too obvious. (Comm Cody as third least likely to be a wolf?) You strike me as a very analytical player (a bit like my brother, madchemist, an excellent village specialist).

I actually like playing wolf better. Wolves pretty much always have the advantage of tempo, because they have the power to kill villagers every night. Village - no matter how well you play, you can ALWAYS be silenced by a timely wolf kill, barring special circumstances. And I hate that. (Plus my gameplay specialties are deception and environmental control - both wolf fortes.)

Your initial scan list should NEVER remain past day 2, barring extreme luck. There's always enough info to change around your scan list past day 2.

Ramius discussion (started day 6)

I have somehow avoided dying or being scanned up to this point, and we seem to have a core group of villager working together now, so I figure now is as good as time as any to privately out myself.

I'm nothing special, just a spiritually attuned villager.
Cool. No pings at all from anyone, you say? Should I have the seer scan you to confirm?
I would think that a waste of time, but do what you will :p

Also I've seem to have fucked up by not including De Chat in this convo;
Um, why did you lie to me???

Also, I guess I owe you an apology.
....
I didn't lie. I have recieved no notifications of being scanned.

What was the purpose of that manouver :p
Um... I scanned you last night. Let me talk to De Chat...
Actually, add De Chat to this conversation.
Hold on a sec

Alynkio (day 6):

Sleepy claimed that [vengeful villager] to me. Obviously, he lied. It's the perfect role claim for a baddie to make because it's completely uncheckable.

With that said, I believe you. Put your vengeful on Claude LC if you could.
Acknowledged!
Scratch that. Put in on ramius, whom I'm 95% sure is our cultist. I think I've solved this game - with some help. :D

With the theme and role name for Sorcerer this game, I was completely expecting to be hunted, so wasn't too surprised when it happened, though obviously wasn't happy about it. Following along was amusing though, with the wolves failing to kill Deathbywombat (always kill the mouthpiece unless you have a strong feeling about the seer or suspect they'll be protected), and also found Alynkio's "phishing" on the last day laughable. Outright saying what he was doing was silly, but the pm itself was also laughably bad, no baddie would fall for it, as Capage quite shrewdly failed to do. Wasn't surprised at all to find Capage was a wolf, but Alynkio actually being a cultist was not what I saw coming. You hedged your bets there too much, came across too much as a villager trying to lure in a wolf (and that's besides outright saying you were phishing in thread, which defeats the purpose of it).

Good game though, besides the Ramius SA snafu.
