Well I didn't consider Paen a bad lynch just as much as I didn't consider Randy a bad lynch. I thought you two were more or less cleared, which shows that you cannot produce valuable analysis without facts.

That's one of the reasons I never told anyone I was the GA, not even to you Randy, even though I was 90% sure you were cleared.

As for Guy, well you are excused since you're new, but here's a hint: never ever give away informations to people you haven't scanned when you're the seer. They could be pretending anything. Also you should've come in contact with me as soon as you scanned me. (yes he never contacted me!)

The thing I don't get is why did he scan me as a villager? If he had contacted me saying "I scanned you as a villager" I would've outed him as a wolf since I wasn't a villager but a GA.

I hope we've learned some lessons this game. Mine is, never say anything about what you know and never trust anyone.

Normally how it is done is that the seer is told that a person is a werewolf, or they are not a werewolf. A GA or another Seer will be reported as a villager unless otherwise noted.

That is why I had to add the line to the Hunter that it was scanned as a werewolf, otherwise I would report back a hunter as a villager.

WHAAAT?

So the seer only knows if a person is a villager or a wolf. Bascially what a wolf knows. So basically a wolf can claim to be a seer. Interesting.

Yep, and I have done the wolf doing so in a game. It risky, but if you pull it off you get a very powerful edge.

Most important lessons one can learn in WW. I think in my third game I played as a GA and ended up protecting a wolf (Ayeshanti) against attacks every other night from another wolf pack..
When I finally understood my erorr It was me left with four wolfs belonging to two wolfpacks :(..
My trust in my fellow forumits took quite a plunge and I'm still paranoid when playing with that damn Scotsman.. :D

But then again the fun part is that you'll have to eventually trust someone..
I

Yep. And that has been done in the past. Ad infinitum, in fact.
That is why when someone contacts you claiming to be the Seer you cannot trust them 100% until they've given you a wolf. And even then they still could be a wolf from the *other* pack. In theory.
Then again, pretending to be a Seer in PM's is a very rare thing for a wolf to do.

edit: Now that I've said that it's bound to happen in one of the next few games...

So is keatje definitely going to be hosting her game in a few days or is it totally up in the air? I don't want to steal someones spot if we know in a few days they will be here and hosting?

She says no. She's too darn busy right now.
So go right ahead.

Ok. You heard the news folks. GM Jacob is now at bat! Expect a thread within 2 years....probably within 8 hours though.

Thanks a lot Randy, we'll have 10 fake seers in the next Big game thanks to you. :p
Was considering it, but now you ruined it for me. :(

Well you younglings should really check out the Old game threads... Very much have already been done..
But something I would like to see again is the GM summarising his thoughts, incoming orders and stuff so you can see what the other side did.
It was comman practise before and I for one would love to have it back.

I could do it for this game, but honestly I don't see what it would add.

My game plan was to basicly have a better wolf pack, a lot smaller but it hunted Independent of the other packs. Player size reduced that to one pack. The fact that every role was more or less slaughtered so quickly meant that small edge they where to maybe have at the end became game breaking.

Some people like it, others don't. *shrug*

Follow a link in my sig to one of my later games and in the first page summary you will find links to the GM AARs to get an idea of how it could look. Unless you think of it beforehand and collect fun quotes/PM/posts during the game it is hard to do that part but you can still write about how you thought when you did the setup, when different orders came in and about who scanned/protected who.

EDIT: Hm, looks like I only did the linking to the AARs from the first page for The Zeroth Law and Werewolves on Holiday.

No, you don't. Even if you scan someone, you still can't trust them. They might be cursed, or there might even be a hidden role...

Yes.. But you won't start any JL's if noone talks to the other.. All the other thing is something you'll have to take into account..

Frankly it would have become game breaking at some point -anyway-, I reckon. Normal games end with 4-5 people still alive. Just one unscanned villager turning to the baddies side would have been bad enough. Had there been two there would be no endgame.

Damn you and your hellish plans.. now you got me to read some old game threads again...
You're just afraid that with 9 more wins I'll be right beside you, and now you want me to be reading instead of playing ;)..

Muahahaha and I've just fixed it so that all the GM AARs are now linked from the summary post in all my games (except the Wolves of Sherwood where I apparently didn't do any AAR)

No keeping the "trade secrets" eh?

Talk doesn't have to imply trust.

If I play a long interesting game I try to summarise them like I did in this one.
I'd really like for more people to do that so you can understand what went right and what went wrong and what people thought right then.

Talk doesn't have to imply trust.
No not in that meaning but you will end up in situations wich will leave you depending on what some other guy said.

Mehh very sad day for me to get randomned on the first day of playing here. Got so busy I didnt really get a chance to follow the rest of the game though. Reading back now to see how everything played out. Will sign up for the new game!
