So If I understand these rules right, we're probably going to have multiple dead people every night from wolf hunts?
This game is going to suck for the village without some careful balancing :p

As I understand it, its fully possible for one person to have two or more "life points" independant of their role completely.

Yes, it's possible, but apparently not so in the general case:

IMPORTANT MUST READ #1:

All villagers have ONE life unless otherwise specified, and Kill Points (KPs) subtract from it. Once you have no more lives, you are dead. Lynches ignore life counts.

In the original discussion surrounding this Kill Point thing the baseline would be however many KP's a wolf pack had.
That apparently is not what is being used here. Probably because the amount of KP's per pack is dependant on how many wolves are still alive ..

@Ciryandor - Do packs still do their hunts in alternating patterns or are wolf packs hunting simultaneously?
Or is that for you and the wolves to know only?

edit: Just to make it clear, given these rules I sort of expect wolf packs to (at least initially) spread their kill points around a bit. If they catch a lot of plain 1 KP villagers that way for a few days this game could find itself with a lot less people very quickly. Especially if there's more than 1 pack hunting simultaneously ..

Well... it's balanced for an ACTIVE village; and it's almost assured that there will be multiple people dying fast if wolves are not role-blocked (which is essentially a reverse GA that can backfire on goodies). This is the reason for the longer Day/Night cycle (48 instead of 24 hours). I want people talking right off the bat; important information can be gleaned from the mayor election vote if you know how. This is where the likes of marty99's playstyle can really shine, as I think the influence of the JL is NOT a necessity IF you have a village that can think for itself.

Consider the following must read note:

IMPORTANT MUST READ #3:

Wolves have x KP (Kill Points) per night in the game, where x is equal to their pack size divided by 2 (x/2); A Wolf Pack MUST use all KP every night, but may choose to use multiple Kill Points on a single person. In the case of multiple packs targeting a single person, ALL KPs on that person stack. Wolves MUST ASSIGN players to do their attacks for them; as it will determine any possible role-blocks that may occur.

Pack/hunt information will be privy to the wolves only; but you are failing to extract information from the above segment, which would be painfully obvious past Night 0. This I leave to you to ponder on.

OUT

I dont want to play werewolf, let alone something that isnt werewolf.

thanks for the PM though, have fun.

It's more Mafia-like that Werewolf, if you know what I mean. ;)

Role blocked, or killed.
So the faster kill-off rate is intentional, then. In that case, carry on. I'm just attempting to figure out the consequences of this ruleset.

It's not exactly failing to extract it; It's more asking the obvious questions just to make sure it's intentional.
Because if I read that note right, all packs hunt simultaneously and therefore it's very possible that we'll have a number of deaths equal to half the number of wolves in the game on night one. I thought that might be the case but this is a large diversion of the rules we've used so far and has some major balance implications right off the bat.

Is this the correct way to interpret that, or isn't it?

No, I don't; I truly don't. I have never played or spectated a Mafia game before, so I have no frame of reference for that remark.

Yes, working as intended indeed.

That was intended more for Adamus. LOL

I'll be honest in saying I'll be disappointed to start with 23... it's just a couple more people, but I really need those people to put parity at +1 day for perfect wolf play.

The game is not started yet, but my holiday is nearly ending. So out.

Looks like I have to staunch the bleeding; roles will be sent out within the next six hours to prevent any more losses. XD

The protests begin, and the day wears on.

Elections are now open for business:

42 hours and 35 minutes before the ballots close. All roles are now with their users.

VOTE Yakman

For Mayor 2012!

Vote Rendap.

My money says so.

Oh god no.

Vote vainglory

Because being major is bad for his health :D

Ah, Randakar, thank you. I accept the nomination.

Now, my fellow Occupiers, it's well known that I would make a great mayor for this camp. For those of you who hate me, what better way to punish me than putting an immense target on my head by voting for me as mayor?

For those of you who appreciate my wondrous skills at managing a village, well, what more need to be said? I am the ideal candidate.

Vote Vainglory for a better future in 2012!
