Latin makes a valid point. In general, trust the first outing. The wolves have to take somewhat of a risk otherwise. The JL actually has scans, and knows who the real Seer is, as well as having a cadre of scanned villagers, so they have a lot more initiative, and will most often move first. Especially if they are trying to preempt a fake wolf outing.

Oh, and I will put up the next game today. i just need to think of a good name that incorporates Bhutan.

Wow. Just wow. GG aedan on a well played game. I found myself unwilling to criticize you because the entire village was in your pocket; as it turns out, even the seer - although he did scan you. What was the real scan list anyway? And why wasn't it shared?

I didn't believe those PMs for one reason: Health doesn't actually use that many smileys, I think.

I found myself thinking "if I were to portray fake PMs by someone I consider childish and bad at the game, would this be it?", to which my answer was yes.

Isn't that how aedan views 80% of the current playerbase, though? :p

I'm actually surprised that we won. I was absolutely serious about needing to leave. And Hazbot suggested a fake outing to pre-empt a JL outing, which would have been a good plan. First outing being usually followed and all. Unfortunately I had too much going on IRL to do much before K-59's outing, and even then I barely had enough time to put up some quickly thrown together PMs and a scan list I wasn't even going to try and justify. And yeah, sorry to Health for giving him crappy PMs for my lies.

Also, this game highlights my greatest flaw as a werewolf player, inability to find the seer as a wolf. Though the day Jacksonian got hunted I put Velasco as the back-up, but dropped him afterwards because Euro was being both active and unhelpful. After so many days without a dead seer, I figured any day I'd be outed or most of the remaining players would reveal themselves as JL, and it'd be up.

Did you hunt me because I was hitting wolves or because you thought I was the seer?

Scan list:

Health (villager)
Ironhide G1 (wolf) - Aedan was the backup
Jackson (villager) - LK was the backup
k-59 (villager) - Lemeard and EURO were the backups
EURO (villager) - Aedan and Spockyt were the backups
Aedan (wolf) - Spocky was backup
Today: Latin Kaiser - Hazbot backup

I found the game difficult to play with the lack of powers (obviously I was seer, but overall no one else had any powers) and the Justice League was fairly uncooperative, even downright insulting (OTOH there wasn't much to be done). In hindsight the reveal leading to Ironhide's lynching was too premature (not just in the day, but in the game) since it lead to Health being hunted the following day and prevented the JL from ever building up a big enough quorum to steer things lynching-wise.

Apologies to any villager players who feel I let them down, I did my best with what knowledge I had at hand, which obviously wasn't enough.

Also note that Health is in Japan (right?), and therefore I'm assuming that he outed as close to deadline as he could. At that point he was the only cleared villager, and it's not like Velasco was going to do the outing himself.

Yeah, I think that would be a safe assumption. However just because you have a wolf name doesn't mean you have to out it. Conventional lynch days give more information than outings, and with Ironhide as a major candidate without an outing, there was much that could be learned from refraining from outing so soon.

You played pretty darn well - surviving as seer until the end is always a challenge, your scans and analysis were reasonable ones, and the end result was essentially because of a Hail Mary from Aedan that somehow found its target.

Aedan, did you really fabricate those PMs in just the 10 minutes between your posts? I was wondering whether or not you had pre-made them, so I'm impressed.

Nah, you seem to have scanned inactive players and suspects who got dropped, all in all a fine attempt at helping the village. It's a shame you didn't scan Aedan just one night earlier, though... :(

I did them all between the posts. They were pretty short and vague for that reason. I wanted to go back and flesh them out, but figured the sooner I got them out the less it would be suspected I forged them. And I think it's not a shame at all that I didn't get scanned any earlier than I did.

And all things considered me being scanned the last night was the best outcome for me, since had LK been scanned, the JL would have all the villagers, and if Hazbot had been scanned, I doubt he could have pulled off a fake seer gambit, and I'd have taken my chances with throwing him under the bus rather than go all in, at which point I'd lose since I had K-59 set to be hunted. Well maybe I could have claimed to be seer on the last day, but that'd be unlikely.

From my limited understanding of the game, I'd say you played quite well, but your early outing of Ironhide was your only mistake. If you had put together a case on Ironhide instead (which would have been fairly strong given earlier events) you could have seen a lot more from how people voted, and the wolves might have even decided to try rescue him, but since you outed him we decided to instantly bury him, which killed a wolf but revealed no information.

and if Hazbot had been scanned, I doubt he could have pulled off a fake seer gambit

I certainly wouldn't have been able to forge the conversations as quickly as you would have. I probably wouldn't have made nearly as convincing of an argument either, it was therefore lucky that it was you they chose to scan rather than me.

Very strong case: He died. He subbed in. Let's kill him again!

Reasons why I didn't post the JL PMs:

1) I was legitimately concerned that they could e used to try and figure out who the seer was.
2) I thought they wouldn't be believable and would make Aedan's look better.
3) I already thought LK was the second wolf.
4) I didn't have much time. They one post I did make was during break in my class.

The picture I planned to use for the update, before it became clear that aedan wasn't actually going to die.

The Seer Survived until the there were 5 players left and the village still lost?????

GG, LK is easily manipulable and got Wagonlitzed.
