By the other way, I really don't understand why some times some villagers surrender so easily. If Marshall wouldn't have voted for himself I could convince Jerman to vote against Claude and, at least, we could have a TIE. But with Marshall voting for himself and just disappearing, we didn't have a chance. And that surrender came only with Tornadoli yelling "Marshall is a wolf" and with Sander, the other wolf, voting against him. But you had still the rest of the village in the other side and it was no necessary to just surrender. Tornadoli can repeat himself a lot of times, but that doesn't mean that his opinion is shared by the rest of the village.

I agree with you here - people need to start thinking for themselves instead of blaming others "but muh, I was just following him". To be honest, I did think Claude was an extremely likely wolf straight after the wagon lynch, and I actually pushed for his lynch. But, let's be honest here, Marshall's behaviour didn't help here.

I was expecting Claude to be lynched after Wagon when you Made the All newbies sound the same. I was surprised about the behavior of the village.

Because they do all sound the same. I admit that I should have just stuck with my logical assessment rather than my "gut" (which turned out to be wrong).

I'm glad we didn't lynch Claud, to be honest. Sander played a solid wolf game and would probably have won on his own; but Claud was also active and deserved to win alongside him.

Yup, Claude was a bit of an obvious newbie wolf, but it's good to have rather active (good active, not sc2frog-"active") new players.

What can I say? This is the kind of thing that makes me less active as a villager every game because all the effort doesn't matter if the rest of the people just doesn't give a shit. If you're a villager you are supossed to want a victory for the village and nothing more. Who deserves the victory doesn't matter at all as long as you're alive and you can win. That's funnier for everybody, wolves included.

The village has always had a problem with being comprised of idiots who will latch on to anyone who shouts loud enough or makes a seemingly good analytical case without even thinking about it. I don't understand why, since the fun of the game as a villager is find wolves. This allows for experienced wolves (or in some cases, idiot villagers) to divert the lynches at a whim. It drives me berserk and has pretty much burned out any desire to play in lites anymore and it's sad.

This.

Look, can we not? If you are just going to ostracise anyone who ever makes a bad case or makes a mistake, then who is going to speak up? This is what the problem is in our community. Making mistakes, doing some random shit every now and then and getting a bit of chaos in the game is fun - I'm not saying the entire game should be "lulz we iz soooo random!!", but stop criticising people for their mistakes all the time, it's tiring, annoying, and off-putting.

Having said that, I feel like that is directed toward me. Yes, I admit, I was wrong about Gen. Marshall, but so what? I did make a case against Claude, which happened to be correct, but my gut told me Gen. Marshall was a wolf - wrongly. So? Other people except me played this game, correct? They should have made other cases, debated with me, tried to convince others of their case, etc. Instead, Gen. Marshall just voted himself and people latched onto any old case. Stop blaming single people for the failure of the village as a whole, everyone needs to take responsibility for their votes, and most importantly - just learn to have fun and stop criticising everyone for every little mistake they do.

I completely disagree. When people make mistakes, they need to be called on it. If we don't criticize mistakes, then those who make the mistakes won't realize what they did wrong, and thus won't correct themselves. Obviously I'm not saying we should ostracise everyone who makes a mistake, but that doesn't mean we should go to the opposite end and force a coddling of players who screw up.

I think it's pretty clear Jacksonian wasn't laying all the blame on you, since he refers to "idiots" and "idiot villagers", which are both plural. He's criticizing the tendency of some villagers to follow the first case they see with critically examining it and thinking for themselves, so he is in fact blaming the people who followed you, rather than you singularly.

Anyways, you're hardly the person with the best record regarding this, Torn.
Ffs how often do I have to tell you to frigging vote frigging marshall. How often? I mean, seriously, how often? How obvious does it have to be that claude and marshall are the last wolves? Can't you uys follow the damn thread once in a frigging while? Can't you see how "coincidentally" claude saved marshall again??? FFS VOTE THE LAST WOLVES I SWEAR IF MARSHALL OR CLAUDE AREN'T LYNCHED TODAY THEN I AM SUBBING OUT THANK YOU VERY MUCH I CAN"T HANDLE THIS VILLAGE RIGHT NOW.

VOTE GEN MARSHALL!!!
It might be a good idea to practice what you preach before you start tearing into other people.

You think that was directed at you? Yeesh. Not everything I say is about you, it's my general frustration with the community as whole and how things could get better. Don't take everything personally.

I will say, this game was frustratingly inactive. Perhaps that's partially due to the forum outage, but it would have been jolly good fun if there were other cases besides "jeray is a wolf because the GM gave me his name" and "Marshall is a wolf because it's smart to sacrifice a packmate".

I'd say the attacks most certainly played a part. Especially now that we know that the fora were affected too and hence that Americans and whoever else gets directed through the American East Coast couldn't use the fora. I was one of the lucky people who wasn't affected at all, hence why I doubted that the fora were hit directly, but appears that I just was part of a lucky minority whose ISPs don't use Dyn.
