No. That's EURO's stance on this game, and no rule. Although surviving is a necessity for winning, there are situations where your survival stands in the way of your side to win. In other words: You also need to make sure your side wins to win. Not only survival is enough. Therefore sometimes personal survival can be traded in for allowing your side to win.

I value team wins, even if a personal win to go with it were preferable. Your evil IJL had to be stopped, and as the mouthpiece I was probably your target anyway. All I did was make sure you didn't look for the real seer until too late.
That said, there was a major break down in communication between the GM and the seer, and the seer and me. If I'd been able to get a changed scan order through, and if I'd heard back from the seer before a few minutes to the deadline, I would have attempted to pull something truly epic that would have given me the win anyway. Sadly it was not to be.
There are two schools of thought deeply divided on this issue. I, for one, play to have fun. That usually means dying. And I'm fine with that.
Done. I said I didn't plan to reserve any seats but I think everyone will agree to those terms if it means Euro will stop haunting us. If Jamie wants a spot then that's the roster filled!
