Sunday:
I've always laughed at the thought of having a "diary"... just dismissed it as some girly thing. So right now, I still don't know why I'm doing this... I guess, I just need to organize my thoughts. I have been locked alone inside a small, damp, smelly apartment for 3 days already. Haven't spoken to anyone, haven't done anything fun, haven't eaten much... I've just been working.
I live in the underground apartment of a 3-story high building, but as far as I know I was the only one here until just 3 days ago, when 17 people moved in the apartment just above mine. That's also when my boss called and asked me to start working on this programming project he absolutely needs done by the end of the month. It seemed like a pretty simple task and I immediately got working. I've been hard at work day and night, and though I did try taking some breaks to speak with friends, everyone I usually speak with online has been unavailable. Either they haven't logged on at all or they've just ignored my messages.
Right now, I'm just feeling unsettled... I can't explain it, but something's not right. I miss Emma... I know she could bring me back to my senses. Yeah, I'll just call her.
The reception's terrible down here though, I guess it'll just have to wait till tomorrow, I'll get outside and get it done. Yeah, that should be good...
The 17 of you are part of an ancient conspiracy. Now that humanity has grown all-too reliant on technology, it is time for you to act. From that one place, you have the power to destroy the world as we know it... However, those humans aren't as weak and stupid as first thought! Some have managed to infiltrate you, and are trying to kill you off one-by-one during the night. As such, you must try your best to find and expel them, thereby eliminating the last line of defense, and finally triumphing over mankind!
Rules:
There shall be seventeen (17) players. Special Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up.
The game will then proceed to a Night deadline.
The game is divided into two periods - night and day. For practical reasons these two periods take place at the same time, from one update till the next.
Each day, all players gather and decide to lynch one of the players - the person they think is most likely to be human. Each night, the humans decide who to kill. In each 24 hour period, the abominations will lynch, and the humans will hunt. The monsters can try to lynch multiple people by creating a glorious, Lemeard-approved, TIE, and the humans can also decide not to hunt anyone at all at night.
Winning:
The humans and mole win if they manage to reach parity with the abominations.(Mole does count for parity)
The monsters win if they manage to kill all the humans.(Mole NOT counting)
Possible Player Roles:
Monster/Abomination(villager): The simplest role, a scientist knows nothing for sure, but can use the power of his vote to help lynch others.
Founding Father(Seer): Can scan one person each night to check to see whether he is human, mole, or a normal abomination.
Human(Werewolf): The last hope of the human race. Each night, the humans hunt a player.
Mole(Warlock): Humanity is contagious, and this monster has spent too much time among humans - so much that feelings of love and empathy, unkown to his kind, now inhabit him. Each night, he can block any other player from using a special role. If he chooses to block the Founding Father or The Corruption, they cannot scan / protect that night. He does not know the identity of the humans at the start. His powers will not block the humans from hunting (unless he blocks the last one standing), in case he accidentally targets one of them. - The mole DOES count for parity, but cannot win alone.
The Corruption(Guardian Angel): He has an aura of corruption, and feeds on human fears. So strong is it at night, that it can completely prevent humans from approaching him and his protégé, for fear of becoming abominations themselves. Each night, the guardian angel can choose to protect someone from an attack. He cannot protect the same person two nights in a row and he cannot protect himself.
Possible Role Set-ups: These are the possible ways roles will be distributed. I will randomly select one set-up; each possibility has an equal chance of being chosen. Once the set-up is determined, it will stay that way throughout the entire game.

Roleplaying:
For the purposes of this game, players are strongly encouraged to role-play according to the theme. You are members of an ancient conspiracy about to fulfill its ultimate goal of ending the world as we know it. All computer systems are under your control, most of humanity defeated in a single day. Your master plan has worked wonderfully well, your founding father, no doubt a magnificent bastard, a chessmaster, aided by The Corruption, is most proud. But now you are being challenged by some elite that threaten to ruin all that you have worked for this long, how would you react? This is the last straight line. This is the decisive moment. You are making history.
The Deadline:
DEADLINE FOR VOTES AND OTHER STUFF IS 17:00 GMT
A vote posted at 17:00 will count. One posted at 17:01 will NOT!
Voting Ends At Deadline Even If Game Moderator Is Not Present!
(Unless stated otherwise by GM)

Other Rules:
Rule 1: Entering the game
A-To sign up for the game, you just have to make a post in this thread saying "in"(preferably bolded)
B-No new players will be accepted after the sign-up period is over and game has started, you can however take another player's place if for whichever reason they can't continue the game.
Rule 2: Leaving the game
A-You must cast a vote everyday. Not having your vote cast on someone by the end of the day will result in being subbed out(ie replace by another player). No excuses valid.
B-You can request to be subbed out at any time should you so desire. (Ex, if you no longer have enough time for the game, or think someone else deserves to play more than you do, ...)
C-The GM has the right to sub players out or auto-lynch them at will, though he will (generally) not abuse that power.
Rule 3: Playing the game
A-All votes must be submitted(by a post in the thread) before the deadline.
B-All nightly orders must be delivered by PM to the GM before the deadline as well.
C-The lynch victim(the person(people) with the most votes at the end of the day) is considered dead(and must follow ghost rules) at the deadline, the hunt victim is considered dead after the update has been posted.
Rule 4: Vote validity
A-A valid vote is done in this format: "Vote PlayerX", where Player X is a living participant in the game(you cannot vote for someone who is dead or the GM, etc...)
B-The GM will count any vote as long as he sees it and the intention is clear. To help him along, it is good format to bold your vote, make it a bigger size, and separate it from the rest of your text.
C-If you have already voted and want to change your vote, do it like so: "Unvote PlayerX Vote PlayerY". If you unvote the wrong person, the vote will still be counted.
Rule 5: Note on spectators(ie people who have not signed up for the game) and ghosts(ie people who have died in the game)
A-You may post in the thread, but never influence it. NEVER SUGGEST A COURSE OF ACTION, EVER.
B-You may make votecounts only for the present day.
Rule 6: On PMs
A-You may quote PMs from other people, real or forged.
B-You may NOT quote PMs from the Game Master, real or forged.
C-You may NOT post screenshots of PMs from anyone.
Rule 7: On Metagaming
A-Metagaming is the act of basing your in-game actions on non-game related reasons(example: Outing Split as the sorc because you do not like him). It is forbidden and frowned upon.
Rule 8: The Unwritten Rule
A-Never trust anyone, especially not the GM.
B-Always trust the GM.
