You can keep that field empty.
The only real problem is the 5 recipient limit on PM's, but that just means a regular Lite game can have all it's role PM's out with exactly 5 messages:
1 message to the wolves (4 people in the recipient field)
1 message to the Seer (just 1 recipient)
2 messages with 5 villagers in BCC
1 message with the remaining 2 villagers in BCC

In my youth, nobody got a PM. We just paid attention and kept quiet

The thing that bugs me with messages with multiple people is the inability to "reply to all".
