I believe both darth and stevie are coming out semi-cleared from this?
If darth was a wolf he would've probably at least kept that PM private and not contact some other random person about it. Still think his day 1 stuff warranted a push but I don't see how darth is a wolf with that reaction to the PMs/
If stevie was the wolf he also probably would've discussed this with his packmates instead of throwing that pm out to the public I think.

Less sure about randy, he was either phishing around (wouldn't be the first time he did this) or he was the warlock trying to hide contact the wolves in a way that could be disguised as a phishing attempt if it failed. Also note that him getting bombed only (sort-of) clears him from being a wolf, not from being the warlock: The warlock does not start in contact with the wolves, so the wolves can't really avoid accidentally hitting the warlock.

As for the authenticity of that claim, I will point out that my situation isn't exactly tenable and looking evil to the wolves is in my best interest.

In this post he's claiming its an attempt at surivival, to avoid having the wolves finish the job tonight. Though wait, stevie is saying here that it already started day 1?

E_L also claimed to be seer-scanned. Fake-claiming seer scans usually blows up in your face, and E_L is experienced enough to know that, so he's likely speaking the truth.
This also means we're pretty much confirmed to have a seer.

'One or both'? What makes you think there are only two wolves?
AFAIK all we can reasonably assume right now is that we have a seer due E_L's claim to be scanned. It's strictly speaking not even confirmed there actually is a warlock at all. For all we know we can be in any of the white, yellow or blue scenarios. Only one of them has two wolves, the others three?

I apologize for my general lack of aroundness since the forum incident; I've been traveling. Honestly very confused about what's going on. I will say that Darth has been messaging me as well, though those messages aren't nearly as interesting. Undecided as to whether or not Randy is bluffing. In the meantime, uhhh, Culann, where'd you get that 2 wolves number from, hmm?

The messages on day 1 were on a different topic. He wanted me to switch to a target that would give him a chance of land, and when I didn't do this, he tried to murder me!

Also note that even if randy were to be the warlock, he's currently only got 2 territories. IIRC we don't need to lynch the warlock to win, just the wolves (@PanzerCorps ?),

Might be better use of our time to look for those instead of deciding whether randy is a warlock. I do think he's unlikely to be a wolf after this mess.

We pretty much know there is a seer.
Note that these PM shenenanigans do not actually require there actually being a warlock at all.
So then we're either in white, yellow or blue scenario.

If I assume for a moment that darth, stevie, E_L, envy and randy aren't wolves.
That leaves Culann, marty, me, alxeu, arkasas, aedan accounting for either 2 or 3 wolves.

Not really overly opposed to any of these, aside from myself obviously.

Aedan has been his usual unreadable self: vote-once-and-leave on day 1 and then built a case one me today. Don't think a case based on hunt analysis is really the way to go (and not just because it's against me), but I guess I can see the logic there.

Arkasas was briefly in danger in day 1 only to redirect the vote into stevie. Beyond that he hasn't yet done anything of note.

Culann has been joining the push against ironhide the zombie, and been making what appears to be a too easy assumption that we're in fall blau.

Alxeu pretty much started the push on ironhide. His voting arguments seem to be more concerned with the balance-of-voting-power between players than with actually finding a wolf.

Marty is similarly voting more on state-distribution arguments than on who-is-a-likely-wolf arguments as far as I can tell.


Can't really make much sense out of these 5 yet. Culann slightly more likely based on this fall blau assumption thingy.

Looking at the states:
Alxeu is is a fine lynch for me but probably a bad lynch for everyone else since that would hand everything to me.
Don't think aedan is forbidden terroitory for state-distribution reasons anymore: I feel confident enough in stevie being a goodie that I wouldn't mind handing him the states.
Culan, arky and marty aren't really majorly favouring one individual player AFAIK.

I beleive it's currently between me and culan?, and I need to go off for dinner. Not sure if I'm back before deadline

I'm struggling to see why you might believe that we are in Fall Blau enough to say that one or both wolves, when every other combination we can be in has three wolves. Not even the Warlock would know for certain at this point if it was two or three wolves. Only the wolves would know that there was just two of them.

You might want to read the rules again.

4- The wolves do not outright kill a player per night. Instead, they can destroy a number of states per night.
4.a- This number is equal to the *average* number of states owned by all nations (wolves included), so this number will increase over the course of the game

The number of nukes depends on the average number of states per player, not the number of wolves.

I suppose that a wolf wouldn't make that sort of mistake...

Yes. But that was during this lynch cycle. Steveij was talking about day 1
