[Edit... wait... aren't we supposed to be the actual players? Why is everyone signing up as 'fans'?

In any case, I'll be the Samoan Superman Tuanigamanuolepola Tagovailoa, on loan from the real (American) football club Real Miami.]

Only 2 players missing, nice ! Hopefully the two spots fill today.

Also, I kinda realized everyone assumed what the friends setup was so I didn't bother explaining... Sorry. Let me repair that criminal negligence for those of you who don't know what it is

Traditional Lite setup is 12 villagers - 4 wolves - 1 seer. The seer knows the role of one player each night thanks to his scan, so the wolves try to hunt him ASAP, while the villagers have only analysis to determine who the wolves are. Unless they get scanned and contacted by the Seer, who can tell them the names of scanned wolves/the names of scanned villagers.

In a friends setup, there is no Seer. The setup is 11 villagers - 3 friends - 3 wolves. Basically the villagers role doesn't change, but the 3 friends are basically an anti-wolf pack: they are three villagers who know each other. A sort of small Justice League, if you want, made up of 3 goodies. Without a Seer, the game tries to be more analysis based since the Seer can't come and carry the village. But the village is obviously weaker, so there's one less wolf to make up for it.

And as said I'll go for the friends setup if we can get at least 16 players, but now I'm hopeful we can get to 17. Right ?

So, there are 16 players signed up for the game, which is enough to start a game with friends setup. Yay !
So I'm of the mind of starting this tonight (obviously simply sending roles and waiting for everyone to post before night0). Any opposition ? you've got 5ish hours to voice any opposition to a quick start

BTW, I edited the setup to make it a friends setup. No opposition to the change, correct ?

If you start with 16 players then you need to make the 17th player, the night 0 hunt, properly random. I.e. you need to have thre be a chance that it was one of the friends dying. You roll who died first, then you distribute roles. I.e. if you hit the 3/14 chance of it being one of the friends who died, then there's only two frinds starting. When the game starts you announce whether a villager of a friend died.
(Had there been a seer then you first rolled to see if the ser died or not. If he didn't then you gave him a random scan, taking into account the chance of having scanned the hunt.)

You'll need to resend everyone PMs, Yvanoff. Forum reboot ate the posts and PMs from today.

It's funny, PMs appear in my email inbox, so I know what the PM says even though it's vanished here. :p

That may be the case, but I dunno if everyone gets emails from the forum, so it's probably better safe than sorry.

I figured that'd be the case. So yeah, better safe than sorry.

yay, there is nothing more I love to do than resending role PMs and reposting updates thanks to forum rollbacks ! Thank you Paradox and the company in charge of the forum for that and the overall incredible ability you have displayed during this forum upgrade, you've sure managed to made it an unforgettable experience for everyone !....

Hum, sorry for this outburst. Fortunately I have a good memory so I remember everyone's role. I now just have to send all the roles PMs and post the updates here again then. Will do so when I can during the day

About game start
So, here we go for another information post. Hopefully this one can stay !

Setup

As you may have noted, the setup in use will be the classical setup. It was, after all, the setup stated in the OP during the signing up phase, and there are players who do not wish to change to a friends setup.

Therefore do note that there are 12 healthy football players (villagers), 4 asymptomatic Coronavirus carriers (werewolves) and 1 player with a testing kit (Seer).

Day 1 deadline

Since there are only 16 players, Night 0 will be scanned. What will happen is thus: I will distribute the roles for 17 players. I will then determine randomly one hunt victim, and one scan target. The hunt victim will be player #17 (aka the player who doesn't exist), and his role will be revealed in the Night 0 update. The Seer will receive his scan result - if the Seer or the scan target survive Night 0 that is.

As such we don't start with shamvoting as usual, but we start with the day 1 lynch voting. Since it is the beginning of the game you'll have two fulls days to vote:

Deadline for day 1 voting is Friday, the 15th of may. Deadline time is 16:30 GMT (17:30 UK and Portugal/18:30 Western Europe/12:30 US East Coast/9:30 US West Coast)

Finally, the day is here. The day where you can all start training together in preparation for the restart of the season. Yesterday, you all arrived at the training center, ready to spend some weeks isolated from your families for health reasons. At least, this way you will be able to focus on football - or that's what your coach hopes. You'll need some focus if you are to climb back the table from bottom place.

But the day starts strangely. It takes some time to notice what is wrong, but after half an hour of training you finally realize: the team's captain and best player, Dieter DPeterhoff, is absent ! This is why training seemed so boring - without him, there's not nearly as much life on the football pitch. The search for him is quickly over: he's stuck in his bed, ill with Covid-19 symptoms. When personnel from the neighbouring hospital arrive, they confirm the diagnosis: Dieter has the Coronavirus. He's quickly taken to the hospital, where he should recover quickly - but it's at least 2 weeks before you can see him again.

One question remains, though: before yesterday, none of you had seen Dieter for weeks, and he has been very careful during the quarantine, staying at his home most of the time. After a quick check, it turns out no one in his family has it. So.... Where could he have gotten infected ?

Dieter Peterhoff the healthy football player is hunted
