I blame THE THEME for the village losing *nods*
Seriously though, sectorknight should have been subbed out or at least contacted whenever he missed the first vote, I don't know if it would have made a difference, but inactivity like that drains a game.

An inactive 17-player game is worse than an active 12-15 player game.

Thanks, Torn. It really was a good game.

Thank you!

I would have wanted to sub out anyone who missed the vote, but was forced to implement a two-strike rule because of the lack of subs.

Look, I never said I was certain reis wasn't a wolf, I simply said he wasn't the best choice based on the voting, that randakar was a better option. If you kept hunting villagers eventually you would narrow down the list of those who had voted for reis, and that might have put him back in my mind, although I still would probably have defended him, I admit. In a village this inactive the goodies were always going to be facing an uphill struggle when the seer died. I played badly but I'm not going to take all the blame for this defeat.

The biggest problem was that you were unwilling to step away from your top suspect and see what the village votes as well. (I did too today, but mostly because I was over at Kaet and Rand's place today). Although you considered reis a possible suspect (just not in combination with your own top suspect randakar), for some reason you wanted to keep on to your own top suspect, even though you saw you couldn't get enough votes for it (and hence open the possibility for a wolf-redirection of the lynch).

You are not a bad player, your analysis certainly is better than mine. You have more positives on average than I do. I know that my analysis is most often not correct, but sometimes I have a really strong idea, and that one is almost always right, as it was here. Reis was a wolf, and I bet Sedracus had indeed scanned him. When I am not as sure as I was here, I am not that steadfast to hold onto it.

reis, if you are a wolf I am going to do the biggest facepalm ever; I will probably have to retire from WW for a while
... I agree on the facepalm, but you should not leave on this. See above, you are a good player, you just have to learn wht your weak spots are, and learn how to improve them, or cope with them.
Thanks, Torn. It really was a good game.

And yeah, I am disappointed - nobody trusted Marty enough to follow his analysis to the inevitable conclusion? Of course, how could they - reis and randakar could never be packmates .. :D

Indeed. I used the same tactic in a game of RL-WW today. Vote my fellow wolf to death when he was already considered a suspect, and it even gave me enough credibility to get the seer lynched when he outed me :D

What happened on day 2 was especially hilarious. I had instructed the pack that we might have to sell reis out, the way he kept getting bandwagoned. When Rysz posted his analysis pointing at Reis and that bandwagon formed EL and me decided to execute the sellout. But with that big a bandwagon, that early, the village does what it always does in that kind of super bandwagon situation - run up someone else. Meaning a neat tie was formed with zero wolves on the counterwagon, allowing reis to save himself :D

Yes, I think this is an important lesson for the village on Paradox WW. Sometimes a bandwagon is just what it shows to be, and a large amount of villagers are actually right. We must take care not to grow our own "rules/behaviour" and let the wolves take advantage of that.

This post by I5 in the big game confirmes what I just said about bandwagons

Unfortunately for the village, Tornadoli's behavior requires a bandwagon. It is helpful to judge people's behavior when there are multiple competitive candidates, and for that reason bandwagons are usually bad; but when we have such an obvious baddie, we must lynch him -- thus the bandwagon effect. Another disservice thatTornadoli has done for this village.

I will note, however, that the term 'bandwagon' and its negative connotation refers to mindless, illogical bandwagons -- ie, voting someone just because someone else is. If we have a good reason to vote someone, it isn't a bandwagon per se, no matter how many people are voting the candidate -- as each voter has a rational justification for casting that vote.

anything I did or say I was hunted for or just random ? :)

Not sure, really. Not even sure who send in that order. The first few days I let EL's orders stand.
Somehow I keep forgetting that you've been hunted too often, btw. Sorry about that.

I sent, because Torn complained that we "had overwritten the standing order too many times". Guess that is an offense, somehow :)

And it was irrelevant, since the game was ending.

He was talking about the hunt order -on him-, Reis.

But I remember now - EL had put the_hdk on spot #2 on the standing order (no idea why) and we forgot to send in anything else that night.
I know, that's a stupid way to die ..

I apoligise for being cr*p, I'l have to sit the next one out until I'm a bit less busy IRL.
Sorry guys :-(

After reading this, I think this game should be removed from the record. It never happened.

Let us not speak of it again.

Heh, can't decide which side sucked worse, eh? :)
