It seems your feeling is right, there has been a difference:
After a quick look, the first game with a day deadline was LXXXIX:The Dark Knight.

From then to now there have been 21 goodie wins and 14 baddie wins. (60-40). Note however, that not all games have started with a day deadline, although they have been rare.

The earlier games: 41 - 47 (46.6% - 53.4&).


I would imagine the difference lies in that the extra votes provide more evidence, and better allow the Seer to target his scans and the village to target their lynches. The early votes would not be as useful to the wolves as the Seer would have no JL at that time and thus there would be nothing to discern there.

So yes I guess it hurts the wolves to a certain degree, although I doubt it is to the extent the numbers show. I would bet that goodie advantage will come down over time.

This is what I believed to be the reason for a day-deadline. With 17 players and four wolves I think it's the most balanced when the village gets an extra day of analysing votes in the beginning.
