Somehow I suddenly got some inspiration for a my big game this morning.
It may take a bit before I have time to put it to paper though. Which is fine, since I doubt my turn on the list is anywhere close ..

So with a bit of luck it's your turn just about the same time our son is born :p

I am putting a lite game up after dinner. I will roll with 10 or more players.

Reserve a seat for me, please :)

Also, YEY my second win! :) Nice!

My tactic in this game was to not talk so much. And if the JL would make a bandwagon I would use my leaderlynch, surely on a goodie, so it was good there was no lynching of me. :D
And I hoped that via the small amount of posts from me, don't create a big suspicion for the wolfs that I would be any kind of important goodie so they wouldn't hunt me.
The tactic worked...

That bothers me, actually. People shouldn't be afraid to talk in the thread - talking should be encouraged! The more talking there is the more lively the game is, and the more chance that everyone is involved and has fun. If everyone ducks their head we get dead games instead, and we lose players.

This is why I tend to vote quiet people first. People who are active and appear to be analyzing the game I leave alone unless I have good reasons to suspect them of being on the other team..

(This is why Kriszo must feel I have something against him by now, but usually it's simply because he isn't contributing much to the thread ..)

I was talking generally, not at all directed at you. Frankly, I never thought about you having something against me, more like the whole community disliking me for some reason.

But come on, I RPd at last quite a lot after a long time, and immediately I was almosty lynched because of that. After that, I shut up. Not really a way to encourage talking and RP, I say.

hmm, if I had anything to do with that, I apologise. That certainly was not the intended effect.

It wasn't you. At least I didn't notice your involvement in particular :D

Long/Late dinner?
paradox was down for me after dinner and then I went to sleep watching football by the time it must have been working again.

Your RPing was actually why I got the bandwagon on Syber_sid started rather than voting you or Kaetje to get myself (and us) out of the day 1 TIE - so RPing can work both ways. :)

Personally I don't think I vote you more than average Joe Werewolfer on the first couple of days when there is nothing really to go on. (I know I do that to really silent players and notorious dropouts). Are you sure this isn't just that it is easier to notice and remember how many (too many!) votes you get yourself compared to what other people have to put up with? ;)

Of course it wasn't you, you didn't vote me either. In fact, I know you as a person who doesn't vote RPers on the first days, but after I received like 3 votes for "I don't like communists" or other crap (one vote is ok based on RP, but come on) and like 2 for no reason at all (which is too much on the first day), I felt I should shut up and eliminate at least the votes from RP.

I'm not sure I understand what you say correctly. Maybe others have this problem too, I can't tell, I'm only keeping a tab on this for myself. But recently, I find myself very often among the runners up in the first days, sometimes even lynched. And then later in the game people tend to vote me again, because "he wasn't run up yet"

My game plan of riding the wave of others experience ended when my Cultist (AOK) and my fellow Wolf (Syber Sid) had been killed by day two, I tried to lay low after that but when it became obvious I would be killed in a TIE of all proportions I tried (very badly) to save myself and hopefully in the process cause havoc.. Alas...

That was a good try :D. One should always try something; way too many wolves have given up when they've been fake-outed.

The game was a bit too easy, EURO scanned me on night 1 and when the JL started forming it was just a question of who would survive to win. We were very lucky, but the reason I like the cursed trait is that it prevents 100% clearing anyone. The game becomes too easy when you can bring all the double scanned villagers into the JL.

It was nice that my random attack on dublish turned out to be a good idea! Thanks to jacob for GMing.

I know what balance issues there were. Not having cursed did nothing to keep my prior game from going right down to the wire. My opinion at least. I don't like curse if we are low on players as I think the potential is too much to unbalance in the other way.

Well, you tricked me at least. I thought there had to be something to balance out the leaders being certain goodies and what you came up with seemed plausible to me. :eek:o

Perhaps giving out a baddie role that made scans on x return as villager, usable once per person. Still possible to amass a large JL, but it would take a lot more time.

I had something else that would have activated if the game called for it but situation was never right. Part of why it sucks to GM big so little is not always having the chance to try stuff out. I am still waiting to GM my finale to my dragon warrior lite game series in a Big game with a heavy twist on the normal roles.
