Surviving Mars is now out & we have been looking at all your feedback on social, Steam and our Forums! We know you have questions & we want to give you the answers. Join us for a special Q&A stream this Wednesday 21, 17:00 CET: https://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive

i will be there, I hope you guys are keeping a close eye on the feedback forum, there are a lot of great ideas and a lot of BIG game breaking/fun breaking bugs/flaws/issues in the game, even though it's still a great game, we as a community can make it better :)

I wish this game all the success as Cities Skylines. I believe you will work on community feedbacks and fix certain flaws in this fantastic game with huge potential and chances to expand this game in so many really cool possible ways (there’s so much where u could direct Mars for the future taking into consideration the real plans humans have with Mars..) I’m little upset with.. to me.. unexpected reviews on steam made by inpatient people- cmon guys the game was just released so rather than negative reviews give feedback to devs. They spend hard work on it and they will do it amazing I’m sure so don’t participate on killing the sales of it. I’m enjoying it a lot already in the state it is now and I’m only excited what’s coming in the future :)

I just got a refund on steam, I really wanted to like the game, but in its current state it's not a working game to me. I wrote a negative review and then read the reviews that were already posted by others and the opinions matched my experience - I wasn't hopping the flame train or anything, just portraying my experience with the game.

Yes, they spent hard work on it, but we can only judge the game by its current state, not on some hypothetical improvements that may or may not arrive. I may rebuy it later, if there have been fundamental changes to the interface and feedback to the player, but at the current state it's just not a plesant game to me.

You're upset that people are unhappy that a fully released product which they paid money for is underperforming?

wow

If it wasn´t said before:
Please, PLEASE Give the Uniforms of the Colonists different Colors for all jobs. Right now for example it is hard to tell the difference between a Geologist and an Engineer.
Why are the farmers not wearing a green Uniform?
Beside the bug with the colonist not staying in their job it is hard to tell if you have a look onto a factory if the right guys are in there.

2 questions i think need to be answered above all others.

1, Why did you release this game when it is clearly not ready!
2, how can i get my money back when it took me 9 hours play to work out the game is not ready, (i purchased via steam).

i look forward to the answers.

bonus question to the paradox guys rather than the game devs, what where you thinking! did the devs con you in some way? do they have blackmail material on you? or do you just not give a crap about the quality of your releases anymore?

While I understand most of the critics, I really don't get why people are THIS salty. Can't anyone remember Stellaris 1.0, or EU IV 1.0? Those games were FAR from polished. I played the game for about 15 hours yet and I am still madly in love. Yes some stuff really has to be adressed, some stuff is well clumsy. But I didn't find any gamebreaking bugs, the game looks gorgeous and it was really worth my money.

so there i am waiting for the stream to start, someone in the chat said "well this does not look good for the game" i replied that "maybe they realised the game was so bad the have decided not to stream about it"

i am now "permanently banned from talking in the stream chat"

slow clap to the moderator for that. no warning, not please refrain, nothing. just deleted my message and then ban me from talking for ever.

i went there to listen to the the devs explanations and have a chat about making the game playable and fun. i make a flippant off the cuff remark to a chap room filled with 3 people and i am out?

what the jeff?

Can someone do us a favour and type up a transcript of the stream so those of us who can't hear everything they say properly, can read what they are saying?

A combination of hearing loss and their accents mean I miss half or more of what they are saying. :(

Would be quite nice for those of us who simply preffer to read than listen too.

I'd like to know if there are any plans for a substantual improvment in the birth rate/lack of things to do for colonists, as things stand RNG permitting the only thing you need colonists for is to trigger the mysteries, and to work in factories for advanced materials prodction while robots build and explore. It feels rather the opposite of how it should be. Its like the opening chapters of red dust were replaced by a technical manual, no existed first foot explotation and investgation of the supply drops, no delighted geologists clustering about a fresh exposure let by a clumsy dozer blade, no actuall sense of wonder or adventure.
