Aye, would be nice if two Domes could share social buildings like Bars and Restaurants.

Yeah, so long as the benefit is diminished with distance (it makes sense that having a bar complex as big as an apartment building will be a lot less fun if it's four domes and tunnels over).

The requests for linking domes that have been popular on the forums aren't just for the colonists to move home/job but to commute to other domes for work and services. At the moment domes do not share services which is half frustrating, half limiting.

That's what I mean, colonists can move between domes already so there's no point to putting connections in just to allow them to switch dome, they already do that. The only logical reason to have connections between domes is that they will utilize connected domes as if they were one dome.

I've got the PS4 version that I play on my 46" hdtv. Unfortunately I can't make out any of the small text in the interface. In order for me to play, I have to place a chair halfway between my comfy couch and my tv and sit there. I was thinking about a possible interface solution and came up with a radial popup. Here's a really quick mockup I made:

So for example, if I placed my cursor on top of the loader and pressed X, a popup with the options available for that object would show up. (Notice how much larger the text is compared to the text in the upper-left part of the screen). I could use the shortcut commands (which I seem to constantly forget), or I could use the controller and select one of the options (the "load resources" for example). Press X to select it and then bring your cursor over a metal or polymer deposit and press X once more.

Now, this wouldn't work for the interface that pops up on the right but maybe you could do the same enlarging effect that is available on the Apple OS dock. (Mockup below). When you bring your cursor over a certain section, it would smoothly enlarge which would make the text more legible until your cursor pulls away from it.

Just a thought.
