Wouldnt want it any other way.
The question remains tho, are events random or irrespective of events in Europe, or can we affect them by what we do?

Say, take over Persia and gain a land connection to India.. and being hostile to Britain ought to affect a change or two over there.
Similarily allowing the spaniards access, either on their own or by assistance, to their own fleet and ports... should have an impact on what is going on in south america.
Or Britain losing its naval dominance, and/or multiple ations trampling over the green and fair island, ought to have a few extra effects in the colonies, no longer able to support them while someone else can reign supreme on the seas. Just might see the entire empire crumble much like the spanish empire? ;)
Or perhaps a british event of "lets forcibly find deserters on foreign ships" and unsurprisingly.. you get starspangled "pirates" showing up that seek to sink/capture british ships.

The short answer to this is no. We are focussing on Europe. We felt that trying to capture every single counter factual for example you take the Western bit of Persia we have on the map. So do then we have the event were you push on through the rest of Persia, fight your way through Afghanistan then we give you choice of fightening your way on through Sind or Kashmir, then after depending on which choice you made you can battle onward through ether the Rajupt states or Sikh states and of the 10,000 soldiers you sent out 12 make it to the frontier of British India and the British don't give a monkeys. It would be absolute nightmare to try and capture ever single possibility and then we would simply not do it justice. So we have instead focussed on Europe to do the best work we can there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't a great part of some countries (such as England, Spain, ...) income come from the colonies?
How will this be represented then (if not through events or a map?)

By boosting the income of the home country.

And there's the bonus that Britain get from free ports in Europe.
That's not the colonies I know, but some of the goods were traded there too.

That's not Britain, that's the naval dominant power. I was playing Britain and did not know this. Lost Gibraltar because I never sent a fleet down there to protect it from blockade and suddenly I was very very broke. It was a sad time. So as Britain the Penisular is very important to you.
