What do you think the giant Mining Holes are for? Soon as they are depleted then just dump the Rubbish in there, and the dead bodies too of course :p

But in serious I think they had something to do with Garbage, though I can't remember what it was, if they did have anything.

Edit: Watching one of the streams now and doesn't seem to be any buildings related to waste disposal.

Never thought about those mining holes in one ... lets clean it up ..to where boss ! the mining holes thank you:D

I'm sure the colonists are just so efficient that they reduce and reuse everything, so there's nothing to throw away.

I am pretty sure I saw in gameplay videos that there is a garbage zone you can set down for the drones to dump the garbage to.

You end up with all these black bags dumped in it.

Are you sure it wasn't waste rock garbage zone, seemed like bags from a distance?

Just asking,

Possibly, they didn't mention what they were specifically. We will find out soon.

It is just waste rock from extractors/mines, yes, later on there's a tech which lets you recycle it into concrete (so it's worth hanging onto until then, though I did end up with pretty big clusters of dump sites until I got to that point). No idea if that's a randomised tech though or a guaranteed one.

Everything gets recycled. It's not a luxury, but a necessity of an effectively closed environment. Certainly no-one's going to be throwing away poo!
