    First off I have no experience with editing jsons
    Following instructions I found in another thread I am trying to change my Career mode start lance.
    simple experiment switch out the commando for a hatchetman

    "StartingPlayerMech" : "mechdef_vindicator_VND-1R",

    Something simple I am sure but I just get a spinning wheel.

    OOOPS !!! it is the 3F not 31 my poor handwriting when I copied the instructions
