What can be wrong?

hi...

my version of EU2 when i bought it was 1.04.
Now, to play on internet u need 1.08b BETA FEB 2 2005.
I downloaded and intstalled 1.08
Then the 1.08b BETA FEB 2 2005.

Still cant play on internet!

Note: I have never played on internet before, thus i have no mods!
