I'm new to the whole concept of naval brigades as i went to armageddon pretty late.
Figured them all out by testing and looking at stats in the production screen but not the torp. brigades. Is it better positioning ? an extra shot per round ? what do they do ?
I noticed you get improved torpedos so quickly theres no reason to build normal ones.
thanks

Torpedo brigade increases Convoy attack. This stat you can see in personal ship screen (for example, here). For surface ships it is usually equal to Sea Attack. For submarines, it is usually higher.

too bad we cant put them on Subs, i seem to remember an innovative "long lance" torpedo making a big difference but i cant remember if that was a german subsurface weapon or a japanese cruiser fired weapon...

And this is plainly wrong, I think, at last for the non capital ships. For destroyers and light cruisers, torpedos where one of their main weapons. The japanese, for example, developed one of their early classes of light cruisers focusing on speed because they had excellent torpedos, and in that time, the gun range of the battleships was shorter then the torpedo range. I think that it was the kuma class. Of course, later, in the early 30's this wasn't true animore, but still torpedos were real killers. The Scharnhorst was a fiery wreck in the end of the Battle of North Cape and yet only sunk after the light cruisers and destroyers closed in to use torpedos. I think that an increase of 1 in naval attack for non capitals is due, if ever there is another update.

start playing mod34, brigades get a revamp in addition to additional brigades for the game. In mod34 torpedoes increase attack stats for the ship.
cheers
