picked up EIC for my son and did not read the requirements on the box, so I have to purchase a video card for his computer hp dc5700 small form factor, it does not have AGP, but PCI express with add2 support, can anyone recomend a good video card for this machine?

Hi,

I recommend a video card with an NVidia 9600GT chipset with 512MByte memory. There are various manufacturers with different specifications but the chipset and the amount of memory should be like this. It would cost you around 80$+.
You may save a bit with a 9500GT which is very close to the above mentioned card with a few modifications.
A 8600GT is also a good choice if you want to stay below 60$ (but you will only get 256MB memory for this).
I do not know the ATI cards very well so I can not give you a proper advice regarding them but check out this.
