Again he got none of it. hence why their are weirdos looking (and spending a lot of money too) for it in north America. Those weirdos are digging huge holes underground hoping to find it for some strange reason. You do realize that Philip IV died only months after having the grandmasters killed. Some say it was revenge from God.

Again he got 200k, which was nothing extraordinary back then,I don't care about weirdos and urban legends.

His son(I checked, Louis X) got 50k later which haven't been paid in due time.

I've heard a story about how the templar grandmaster cursed the bloodline of the king with his last breath and that's why he and all his sons died in close sucession
now seeing as how those deaths were the trigger for the 100YW you can easily make it into a historic fantasy novel where he cursed the king and all of france thus making it seem like he cursed them to the 100YW ending only with the burning of joan of arc lifting the curse

you have to be kidding me, I somewhat knew of those novels but that they took the same overall plot I didn't know (what's the purpose of the "exchange the prince"-story line if you're going to kill the real one later without consequences though?)
