Jmack, I know what your saying. I get it. But it can no be done. The only thing like it is if a cheat is revealed that is able to freeze the date.

Well, like I've whined before, for EIC there's no 'show cdkey' option in steam user interface.
For example, there IS one for HOI3 (that's how I managed to get a silly HOI3 icon below my name

I guess it is between the game devs/publishers and steam to fix the issue. But maybe the option costs extra... who knows?
ps. also, show cdkey would be cool for HOI2 steam version as well
