The game crashes while I am playing.
I bought the game three days ago. I have read all the reviews and heard it was a great game. I wish I had read this forum before purchasing. I have a celeron 6XX, a g-force video card, windows 98, 256 megs of ram and 30 gigs of hard drive space, 14 free. I am running the version that comes with the purchase of the game. I have experienced the crashes at various times. When the computer crashes it displays a page error and the desktop appears. I have played three scenarios. I do not think that specific scenarios are a problem because the messages that have been posted all list various nations during different time periods. I have used: the united states in the war of independence, russia in the three mice and austria in the three mice. All have crashed when I try to save no matter when, whether it is year one or year 12. The music continues to play as the desktop appears. The game has also crashed during play when clicking on a dialog box and also for no apparent reason. What is being done to attepmt to correct the crashing problem? Is a patch to fix this problem in the works? Many people have reported this problem. With so many reports it cannot be a problem with the PC like many have suggested but with the game itself. Like the other concerened gamers who have purchased the game I want to be able to play it. I hope that it is not money wasted and the problem is fixed.
