I will be setting up a modding sub forum shortly. To access the modding forum it will required to register a copy of the game here on the forums.

Please keep distribution of any mods developed on our forums!

More information to be given in the dedicated subforum shortly. 2Coats will be your moderator as usual :)

See the MyGames tab up the top-left there? Click on it. Wherever you bought your games from, they will supply you with a Paradox Forum registration code to enter there.
Yup, I saw that. My gaming PC died a couple of months ago. I have access to the games on my steam account on the mac, but I can't see any relevant information because my mac can't open the games. So, how do I retrieve that information?

You should still be able to view non Mac games by changing that option in your Steam Mac client. There you should be able to retrieve the CD key I believe.

I can see the non mac games in my library, but since they aren't installed I'm not given any options really. I also realize that SoTS1 is on Impulse, not Steam. I'll get that cd key as well.

any chance this could be an open forum - only as someone pondering whether to buy this game being able to see what mods are available could tip the balance

I dont think there will be, but there may be a list of MODs available on the main Warlock forum with information about what they are/do, for those of you that are interested. However ALL discussion on mods will take place in that sub-forum.

However the final word rests with Bjorn. So wait till he gets the chance to reply.

You could run Steam up on a friend's PC, install Warlock, get the key, then uninstall everything. Other alternatives are Bootcamp, VMWare Fusion or Parallels.

Would that I could. I contacted steam and I am awaiting a response from them, as well as impulse. I'll get another gaming PC in the near future, but life likes to get in the way of hobbies.

Hello people, nice to see you again.

Modding is good. But..

With Eador came out I'm back to this genre and back to Warlock. I see this forum line is most active and I'd like to ask something.

Does anyone have few words about nearest future of Warlock? New patch, DLC? Anything. What to expect?

P.S.
Also, in case devs working on next game about Ardania, maybe Majesty 3, I have a suggestion - would be awesome to have some new stuff from new games here in Warlock as updates/DLCs!

It will not be open, sorry. Here at Paradox we believe that DRM's are usually more of a hassle to legit users and we try to keep all that to a minimum. We do however try to provide extra content on our forums as a motivation to obtain a legal copy of the game.

Thats commendable ..but why not get rid of all the piracy paranoia to begin with. You'll sell more games as long as they are quality via word of mouth. DRM drives customers away. Having a community hangstrung with access walls will loose you a similar number of customers. Yer just transferring your loss of customers from release time buyers to game afterlife buyers,

I know it's been discussed in a separate thread but i'd really like to see an answer from somebody in a position of knowledge, is there any possibility for improving MP from a patch, or even from modding? The main thing I think it really needs is simultaneous turns as late game you can be waiting half an hour if you've got a full roster. Short of that, could you not make it so you can still browse the UI whilst waiting? When it's another players turn you just get completely locked out, can't browse your cities, look at demographics etc.

I expect that this opening of a Mod forum means that aftermarket support for the game has probably ended, or will be ended soon, but is there a chance for a final 1.5 patch before it's put to bed?

I'm afraid I don't think that is something we will develop. But any modding enthusiast out there is more than welcome to try and make it happen. I don't even know if it would be possible though.

No it's absolutly impossible. To be honest, we'll be very limited.

I hope Ino-co still work for you and make a new game because they make very fun game. They're my favorites from paradox. But in this case, please impose to them the moddability, specially for IA their first weakness.

For various reasons I haven't played Warlock after release. I really like Elven Legacy premise more, though it's flawed in it's on way. Now I've bought all DLCs and the game looks polished, challenging, great.

Thanks again, InoCo. But remember: one day I will beat Elven Legacy, as soon as it stops giving me BSOD, just you wait!..
