You ask that but they've updated CK once, EU three times, Victoria once, and HoI twice. Of course, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if "Fall of Rome", covering 476 to 867, was made. Couple that with a Decline game for 27-476, and we'd basically have playable history from the Pyrrhic War to the start of the Cold War.

But, the one most likely to be updated next is HoI, since it's the oldest.
Actually, including 1948-1991 once EvW: A Hearts of Iron game is finished.

HOI4. It is a big money maker for PI so EU4 this year and HOI4 next year will go a long way towards keeping PI profitable.

I think it will be HOI4 also. I would love to see some of the smaller games get some love also....ROME, SENGOKU, and March of the Eagles. Rome would have to be a reboot, but each of the others could be updated with some DLC's.

I'd like a fall of Rome scenario, will soldier-emperors, tribes and all the like :)

But a HOI4 with a similar focus on (relatively) intuitive mechanics/UI could also be quite refreshing.

Crusader Kings II , correction unit model (I hope its being for a patch not for another DLC) , for example the year 1066 and the unit troop modelled as horseman with great helmet and early plate mail  Great Helmet appeared first time in history as early as late 12th century and early plate mail appeared earliest at the end of 13th century , so it doesn't make sense if those 2 are implemented in 1066 unit troops model..Maybe it is not that has much effect on the game other than visual but being historically accurate game , I think it is important one as well it will bring more feeling of true Middle Ages setting

HoI is the most logical candidate for a sequel. It's the most succesfull PDS game besides EU.
Rome was never much of a financial success same as sengoku. Even Victoria wasn't that much of a seller. I'm happy that they even gave it another addon.

But first they have to finish East vs. West. Than the team can switch to HoI. The EU team will most likely start making more addons for that and flesh out the mechanics they have and add to that.

No matter how much i would love a Vicy3 and dislike HoI it is the logical candidate for sequel.

But even more than a Vicy3 i would like a new IP set in the nearish future with 4X space game stuff.

Actually no, Crusader Kings is their most successful series based on the sales for CKII.

Actually oranges and apple comparrisons here. HOI series is the biggest money maker going all the way back followed by EU. Currently CK2 has the highest current yearly sales. I expect EU4 to take over that spot since it is a new game and the newest games generally make the most for a year.

If PI wants dollars they will do HOI4 next. If they want to spread it out they will do V3, Rome whatever next and then HOI4 after that. But expect HOI to be done fairly soon since next year it will be 5 years since HOI3 first came out and that is right on schedule.

Make an airfix dogfighter sequel !!

Rome 2. Maybe they don't want to compete with AGEOD's AJE or CA's TW:Rome 2, but having a number of similarly themed games I honestly think this increases interest rather than decreasing it.

Personally, I want Victoria 3, with more technology and longer gameplay (the whole campaign can be played for just 5 hours, it is very small amount of time, IMHO), but it is unlikely, since the HoD was released just few months ago. It is probably will be HOI4.
