Hey...
I have just noticed that there is some modifications here on this site...
Could anyone tell me what I should choose and what possibilities I have, and perhaps what they do???
I really need someone to guide me here, cause there is so many things here in the mod/sce area... So what is worth installing and what is the crap??
And what does they do???

There isn't a lot. 1066 bugfix is probably an essential if you're playing the 1066 scenario and it doesn't mess up the original game much. The Fire And Ice mod is worth a look, but it overwrites your original game. And they're the two main mods. You could also take a look at my fantasy scenario and the 1187 bugfix, both of which I made.

Graphics mods are very much personal preference. I have Guinnesmonkey's CoA pack and Birger Jarl's pack installed.

Events I don't have any modifications for.

If you are not afraid of modding game files, you should try Many Kingdoms, Independent Dukes. It certainly gives new CK experience.

Well, first of all I think there is really many different mods...

You two guys have made 2 or 3 mods there, and that's fine...
But what do they do???
Is there more conutries???
Is there more people???
Is the AI better, or what have you done?
I really don't wanna install anything that are crap and destroy my save games and add a psycho Virus on my Comp.
So...
What can your mod do???
How do they change my game??

Rundown:

-Many kingdoms is a totally refaced scenario. No family trees for characters. No kingdoms.
-1066 bugfix fixes bugs in the 1066 scenario. Adds more countries, more people and the AI is slightly better. Similar idea for the 1187 version.
-Fire and Ice is a new map, new characters and new countries. Based on the Fire and Ice books.
-My fantasy scenario was aimed at totally changing the game, with new families and countries. Sadly, due to a lack of interest I stopped. There was also something similar being attemped by chris wilikinson.

Best way to find out is to play them though.

Each of them have a thread describing them, so you could find additional info about them from there.

Hmm... Okay thanks...
I think I will try that 1066 bugfix! But can it be runned with 1.03b??? And will my savegames be deleted???

BTW, where can I find the 1066 bugfix???

In the Crusader Kings - Scenarios and Modifications uploads subforum, also try solymrs SECKS pack, it adds a lot of events that spice up the game.

Okay... Where is the SECKS pack??

I have found it...
Hów do I install it correctly???
Should I just unpack them into Events???
And what with the 1066bugfix???

Aagh. Both come with instructions. You won't lose your savegames and it works with 1.03b. SECKs looked a bit complicated for me to bother with personally.

Its easy, even if you arent very familiar with using custom stuff on paradox games, you just need some PC knowledge :p

Personally I wont play CK without Secks anymore.
I could do it easily, I just couldn't be bothered.
