I'm just posting this because I'm having a hard time deciding on where to go in my current Playthrough. Currently, I am the 75 year old Triarch of Volantis, have been since I was 20. I am just trying to weigh the merits of taking power as a monarchy or not. Benefits? I get to keep volantis, and can keep trying to expand it to fully take over New Valyria. Downsides? loosing access to Merchant Republic wealth.
My big question is this: are there any pitfalls or problems that I should look out for when taking power and forming a monarchy? Any weird game bugs/glitches that would make it better to just not? Any easy way to manage the Triarch-For-Life option?
I suppose while your here I might also ask if anyone knows if you can get fire-obsessed as valyrian religion, and if so how?
