What will CK6, EU8, Vicky 4, HoI9 and Stellaris 5 look like?

On a more serious note, I'd really love to play some of those games in VR (or any equivalent followup technology). HOI would probably be amazing for that. :)

...also I guess Paradox might as well team up with Frontier to allow people to export their Stellaris Galaxy into their own Elite server. So there will be a Stellaris x Freelancer x Freespace x Elite crossover space sim. Ah, one can dream.

They'll be strong AI consciousnesses with a historiography and social science interest, to whom we will sell control over our lives as a mean of entertainment and academical study.
 
By the time they come around AI will have achieved recognized sentience, therefore engaging in our normal genocide happy times against them will be a war crime and we'll be hunted down and imprisoned.

or... you could have a system where you pay 5 dollars/euros/whatever, and you get to spin a roulette wheel!
and whatever DLC you land on, you can then buy at full price! nothing's ever gone wrong with that model and you win everytime!

Crusader Kings 2048 plays like a mix of CK, Medieval: Total War, Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Mount and Blade.

Hearts of Iron 2048 plays like a mix of HoI, Company of Heroes, Panzer General, World of Tanks, Brother in Arms and Victoria.

Stellaris 2048 plays like a mix of stellaris, endless space, homeworld, sins of the solar empire, "what spore should have been", EVE and supreme commander.

Europa Universalis 2048 plays like a mix of eu, victoria, several total war games combined, civilization and age of empires.

Victoria 2048 has developed economic model more complex than real life one, overtaken it, launched technological singularity and became AI God.

fast forwards to 2057 and HOI 22. via the retinal scan function now standard on all computers, your brain is mapped out via your optic nerve and your neural pathways are artificially synthesized as software to form a (mostly) fully functional AI. additionally your AI can be uploaded to a central database where people can download other people's AIs to individually staff every country.

In the year 2050+ you will have a game that mixes All paradox games: EU, Hearts of Iron and Victoria into one single grand game with female political leaders featured as Overly-sexualised anime hentai waifus with the DLC option to VR date them.


... This society really degrades badly every year.

At first I thought you meant the game taking place in far geological future of Earth where continents once again shifted and turned into supercontinent and in the place of Europe there is just part of global panocean.

At the rate our culture is falling apart, by the time EU8 comes out, there will be no distinction between normal anime and hentai.
